Being out in the wild really helps you appreciate civilization. Behind me, an angry hedgehog covered in twigs glares daggers at the back of my skull after my most recent blunder. I tripped and when he tried to catch me, I took him down with me. Needless to say, Nazo is not happy with me. Fortunately, we're leaving Mystic Jungle. Hopefully, there won't be any more mishaps.

A silent grumble escapes me as I pick twigs out of my quills. A working theory for the moment is that the guardian in front of me is cursed. There's no other way someone could be so clumsy and clueless. In the distance, I can see the train station of Mystic Ruin. Why are we heading there? The city is the last place I'd rather be. I'm certain there are still those who remember the last time I was awake and active. I sigh, if it has in fact been many years why should I be concerned? My main concern should be the (C/T) guardian who dragged me into her mess. I wonder where in Station Square the emerald shard is... Is that really your greatest concern? You have an all-powerful being, one who normally would be destroying everything in his path, and your greatest concern is where a glass shard is. Not that it matters what her concerns are. We get on the train bound to Station Square and I notice the eyes ogling me. Fear radiates off them. So I'm not that far in the future, least I now know that much. Just how long did I slumber for? I keep getting mixed signals. Must be months if it's not years. Could still be years but perhaps less than what I previously thought. "Everything ok, Nazo?" I come to, realizing I had zoned out for the duration of the train ride and must've been on autopilot. I stopped somewhere in the middle of the sidewalk and now a concerned guardian looks at me with innocent (E/C) eyes. "My apologies, I was deep in thought." "I was asking if you were hungry..." This girl... I sigh, "I do not require sustenance. I've never needed to eat a day in my life. You're speaking to a being of pure energy." Pure negative energy but I leave that part out. "Oh..." she lowers her head as if she offended me. "Do you need to eat? If so, just go get something to eat. The longer we spend dallying means your precious emerald is more likely to be stolen." at that she grabs my wrist and drags me into a fast food restaurant. Again I feel the stares of those around us. Does she seriously not notice?

After dragging an annoyed Nazo into a nearby restaurant, I head towards the counter and order something. I know he said he didn't need to eat, but I order something for him anyway. If he doesn't eat it, I can just have it for a snack later. Is it just me or is the whole restaurant staring at me? Every time I turn my back I feel eyes burning holes in it. I feel uneasy and as soon as my order is done, I grab the food and drag Nazo out of the place. I feel the pull of the Master Emerald and start heading in that direction. I seemed to forget I was holding Nazo's hand until he stopped me in an alleyway. "You seem distressed. Despite how amusing your facial expression is to me, I find that given current circumstance, it is a problem if something troubles you. If it's about the stares, they're likely directed at me." I know who they were staring at and I know for a fact it was me. I'm kinda well known as a trouble magnet. I don't really have the heart to tell him that though. Seems he thinks that he's some kind of scary monster, I think he's secretly a softy and doesn't want to admit it. Why else would he save me twice? "It's fine, don't worry about it. My current problem is... well... I found the emerald shard but... You may not like where it is."
