Y/n POV
Ever since Thomas came in the box, it was difficult not to say anything about his name and who I was. I mean, I can't just go up to him and be like, "Hey, greenie! Your name is actually Thomas and I happen to be your sister. Nice to see you after almost a decade."

If I did that, he would freak out. It's better if I just waited until he remembers.

Now, currently, I am sitting beside Newt as he explains to Thomas who the others were at the bonfire.

"See those guys? There. By the fire," Newt goes to explain as he points to Minho and the other runners. "Those are the runners."

"Indeed they are," I add. "They are the ones that go into the maze. The place you tried to just casually walk into."

Newt smiles at my remark before he continues. "And that guy in the middle there is Minho. He's the keeper of the runners. Every morning when those doors open..."

At this point, I zoned out of what he was saying and was just admiring his features. God, he is the best thing to happen in my life. He is just so sweet and kind and...

"Y/n?"

My thoughts get interrupted by Newt.

"Y/nnnn?" he continues to say as he waves a hand in front of my place.

"Hm?" I hum in response.
"Me and greenie here are going to walk around the bonfire so I can introduce him to the others. Wanna come?"
"Sure!"

The three of us get up and walk around as Newt points to different people, and states who they are and what their jobs are.

Thomas was just asking about the position of becoming a runner when someone got pushed into Thomas by Gally.

Of course it's Gally.

"What do you say, greenie?" he challenges. "Wanna see what you're made of?"

Then, everyone started to chant for him.

Oh boy. This can either go really good or horribly bad for him.

Then, they started to go at it as Gally forcefully shoves Thomas to the ground.

"Come on, greenie," Gally antagonizes. "We're not done yet."

Thomas pushes himself back up on his feet. "Stop calling me, greenie."

Yeah, Gally. Because his name is Thomas. My older brother. The WANTED child in the family. But, I don't blame him for that. We were both young when it happened, so he couldn't really do anything about it.

Now, back to the "fight."

Gally goes and calls him another stupid ass name before going at it again. Surprisingly, Thomas put up a good fight and ended up knocking Gally down to the ground.

"Not bad for a greenie, hu-"

He was cut off short as he lands hard to the ground by Gally.

I was about to make my way over to Thomas until a saw this look of realization on his face. Almost as if he remembered something.

He gets up and yells out, "Thomas! I remember my name! I'm Thomas!"

I can't help but smile.

He remembers.

Everybody cheers for him and welcomes him completely to the glade before we all clocked into bed for the night.

*the next day*

When I woke up in the morning, I made my way to my special place: the treehouse. I love the way the wind up here blows through my hair and how I can look down at the others as they work. It just brings this peaceful effect to me, and I loved it ever since I was little.

As I looked down at all the others, I notice Thomas making his way over to where I was.

"Hey," he says as he looks up at me from the ground.

"Hi," I respond with.
"Can I talk to you for a second?"
"Sure!"

He starts to make his way up the treehouse.

"What do you want to talk about?" I ask once he sits down next to me.
"Well," he began with. "I want to talk about what else I managed to remember last night."
"Okay, but.. why me?"
"Because I remember you. I remember who you are."

I didn't know what to say. I just sat there, staring at him in disbelief.

"Long time no see, sis," he says as he smiles at me.

I smile back then, immediately, engulf him in a hug. "God, I missed you so much."

"I missed you, too, y/n."

We break apart from the hug. "So, you remember anything else?" I ask, curiously.

"I remember the nickname you gave me when we were younger."

"You mean, Tommy? That nickname?"
"Yeah.. that one."
I smile, "I still use it."
He chuckles softly, "Of course you do."
"Anything else?" I question further.

"I remember how you would come into my room when you couldn't sleep at night, especially when the power was out, because you were afraid of the dark. Or, more specifically, what things could be lurking in the dark. I remember times we would sneak out to the kitchen in the middle of the night to fill up on junk food and eat it under the blankets of my bed."

I giggle slightly.

"I remember your favorite color was teal, and how much you loved pasta. I remember.." he paused for a moment as the smile he had faded away. "I remember, one morning waking up to eat breakfast, I saw you weren't at the table eating with us. I remember looking everywhere in the house, trying to find. I.. I remember asking mom and dad 'Where's y/n?' with no straightforward answer. I remember every day after that looking anywhere and everywhere for you, constantly asking our parents where you were. I remember all of this and, all this time, you were here."

It wasn't until now that I realized I had tears streaming down my face. He, also, had tears streaming down his face.

"Anything else?" was all I could say.
"Nope. That's everything."

I wipe the tears off of my face.

"But, hey," he continues. "At least we have each other now."

I chuckle softly. "Better now than never."

"Yeah.. I guess so."
