Y/n POV
We did it. We made it through the maze successfully. I can't believe we made it this far. I can't believe I made it this far. I will finally have my freedom and be able to experience life outside these walls.

Currently, we are listening to a tape made by the corporation who put us here: WICKD.

"You may not realize it," the woman on screen, Ava Paige is what she referred to herself as, went on to say, "but you're very important."

Important?! Considering I was in the maze to fend for myself at the age of six, I don't FEEL important. In the beginning, I felt unwanted and despised. But, since I now know the REAL reason why I ended up in the maze before everyone else, I feel like a project and feel used for someone else's gain. I'm merely just a pon in a game.

"Remember," I hear after I snap out of my thoughts. "WICKD is good."

Shots are heard as Ava shoots herself as the video screen goes to white.

"Wow," I breathe out. "That was something else."

"You said it," Minho remarks, agreeing with me.

"Is it over?" Chuck chimes in with.

"She said we were important," Newt took note of. "What are we supposed to do now?"

Completely baffled, Tommy tried to make sense of it all in an attempt to find an answer to give to us. But, he couldn't think of anything. "I don't know," he said. "Let's get out of here."

"No," we heard a voice behind us say.

As we turn around, we came face-to-face with...

"Gally?" Tommy questioned as he walked closer to him, abruptly being stopped by Teresa.

"Don't," she advised. "He's been stung."

Getting a better look at Gally, it looks as if he has seen a ghost. I mean, he looks scared out of his MIND.

"We can't leave," Gally went on to say.

That's when I noticed the gun shaking in his hand.

"We did, Gally, we're out," Tommy cautiously spoke. "We're free."

"Free? You think we're free out there?" he asks us. "No... No there's no escape from this place."

He proceeds to raise the gun and point it in our direction. Well... point it in Tommy's direction.

"Gally, listen to me," Tommy continues to cautiously say. "You're not thinking straight. You're not. Now, we can help you. Just put down the gun."

"I belong to the maze," Gally proclaims. "We all do."

Then...
BANG!

One thing led to another, and I somehow ended up positioned in the spot my brother was previously in, then, later, noticing the spear-like stick impaled in Gally where his heart is at. Gasping for air, he collapses on the ground and immediately seems to have died.

We did it. But, why do I feel my stomach churning so much?

To help stop the pain, I put my hand over my stomach in hopes the pressure will subside the pain long enough for me to be able to walk out of here. However, something didn't feel right when I applied pressure on my stomach. Something felt wet and icky.

Confused, I took my hand off of my stomach and looked down to examine it. When I examined my hand, all I saw was...

Blood.

"Shit," I mutter under my breath, grabbing the others' attention. "Uhh, guys. Either my period started or I got shot. But, I take my bets on the second option."

At that moment, I got lightheaded and started to collapse on the floor. However, before I had the chance to fall completely on the ground, I feel two arms wrap around me and slowly lower me the rest of the way down.

Upon hitting the ground, I look up to see Newt hovering over me with Tommy at his side.

To say I'm scared is an understatement because I was terrified. I feared these were my final breaths as a struggled to breathe, and I started to feel tears run down my face. Fortunately, though, this fear gave me my will to fight.

"It.. hurts," I manage to say. "Why does it hurt.. so.. much?"

"I don't know, love," Newt replies. "But, I'm going to need you to restrain from talking and save your breath."

"Yeah, just continue to stay with us, okay?" Tommy informed as he agrees with Newt.

"O.. kay," I croaked out.

Unfortunately, it started getting harder to fight. My breaths started to become more and more staggered, despite my attempts at fighting it. "I don't.. think.. I can.. last much.. longer."

"Hey, don't say that," Newt comforted. "You're going to make it, alright? You're going to make it and I'll be able to take you on that date I said I would. I was thinking we could stargaze, yeah? Stargaze."

I can't help, but to smile a bit. I always loved stargazing. I did it all the time in the glade.

"That.. sounds.. nice," I said to Newt, still struggling to breathe.

"Yeah, and while you guys do that, I'll make sure no funny business happens between you two," Tommy sarcastically remarks.

I stifle a laugh, immediately regretting it after feeling immense pain shoot through me.

At that moment, guys with guns and protective armor barge into the place, and started escorting everyone out. However, Tommy and Newt both refused to leave my side as, whoever those guys were, tried to move them along.

"Guys.. it's.. o.. kay," I reassured. "Go.. with.. them."

Not wanting to and very hesitantly, Tommy and Newt obliged to my request and stood up to walk away with the men in armor.

Sometime after, I feel one of the men pick me up and carry me out bridal style. But, because I lost a lot of blood in that period of time, everything went black before I had the chance to see where these men were taking me.
