Lizzie waited outside the school entrance waiting eagerly for her friend. Lizzie had a million ideas now that Hope was back at school she could play matchmaker for her friend. Josie was already asleep, Hope's absence had effected her sister and not in a good way. Kaleb was still on shaky ground with the twins he had tried to sit in Hope's spot in the library wanting to apologize for his betrayal only to get shocked by a spell Josie had cast on Hope's spot.

Flashback
(weeks earlier)
Josie, Finch and Lizzie sat in the library studying for an upcoming exam. All three girls were getting along well enough considering Josie and Finch had broken up. Their was no big fight, no cheating of any kind, and Finch had even come to terms with the fact Josie might die during the Merge. It was the fact that Finch was a wolf and while she loved Josie and the super squad was like her second pack they weren't an official pack. Jed was her Alpha and the school Pack was the one she'd belong too. She had thought a lot about her talk with Hope being a loan wolf because she'd always put her friends needs before the packs.
Finch didn't think she could choose between Josie or the pack. Because when it came down to it she would sacrifice anyone if it meant saving Josie. Just like Hope had with Landon the only difference was if Hope had to choose between someone she loved or the world well what happened with Landon proved she'd do what was necessary to protect millions of innocents she didn't know. Finch knew if she was put in the exact same situation kill Josie in order to save the world she wouldn't do it even if Josie had told her to. That was the difference between the two Josie was kind, selfless, willing to make the ultimate sacrifice if it meant saving the world. While Finch wasn't heartless she was still a bit selfish and possessive so after a long talk with the Gemini twin both agreed to just be friends.
"So, any word from Hope?" The werewolf asked quietly looking up from her book.
"Not since our last face time." Lizzie replied
"Yeah, she said she had a few things to take care of before coming back." Josie added Finch was about to ask something else before another voice stopped her. A voice all three girls tensed at.
"Hey can I talk to you for a minute?" All three looked up to see Kaleb standing there Finch excused herself saying she had somewhere else to be. Kaleb looked at the twins as both girls fixed him with a glare. "Look Josie, the dragon decided to leave its den." Lizzie said in a board tone that held a hint of anger.
"What do you want Kaleb, are here try and kidnap us as well?" Josie asked the vampire dragon hybrid. He had some nerve coming to them after what he did most of the squad except Alaric, MG, and Cleo were giving him the cold shoulder. The young man had a lot to make up for, making a deal with Malivore and kidnapping Hope while she was in transition.
"I just wanted to say I'm sorry." The young man said with a frown knowing that he fully deserved the anger that both twins were directing at him. He may have deserved it but that didn't make what Josie said less painful. He tried to sit down only to get shocked.
"Ah! What the hell?" The young man said standing up in confusion. "A little spell I came up with, anyone who has betrayed or endangered Hope can't sit near or touch her, Lizzie, or myself." Josie stated before quickly adding "Actions speak louder then words, prove to me that you won't turn on us again and I'll undo the spell." Josie packed up her things and walked away.
