Final Stand a Timebomb Fan Fiction

Chapter 1 : The Bridge

A bridge stands, connecting two completely different sides. One where the rich wonder with their gold and jewelry. While on the other side lay the poor. Shimmer runs through the lanes destroying families and homes. This bridge connects this nation together, though not for long.

"OH look who it is, The BOY SAVIOR."
Ekko smirks looking up, dropping his stopwatch letting it move side to side, Jinx standing only 30 feet away. She gives a small chuck raising her gun up to her head letting a shell of a bullet fall out of her gun. She tightens a valve of her gun giving another small chuckle staring at Ekko.

She moves herself into a sideways position both staring at each other with grins on their faces. Jinx puts a peace sign with her fingers up to her head giving yet another chuckle. Ekko catches his stopwatch lifting it up looking at it. He looks back over at Jinx. Clicking the stopwatch he begins running towards Jinx yelling.

She raises the gun pointing at Ekko. Shooting one shot at Ekko, he ducks under the shot still sprinting with his eye's focused on Jinx. She shoots twice more, this time Ekko leaps over the bullets turning horizontal mid air. Just barely missing the bullets. As she shoots another shot Ekko dodges around the bullet leaping into the air swinging his bat.

His bat cracks right against Jinx's head, sending her back. Just as she regains focus and tries shooting Ekko again he smacks the gun out of her hand with his bat. Putting the bat to her neck, she cries out in pain. As she tries swinging at him he swings punching her in her nose causing it to start to drip blood, he swings again punching the side of her head. He places both hands on the bat pushing down on her neck.

As she frantically tries hitting him pushing at his face, hitting him in the face with punches. Nothing seeming to work. He reaches his left hand about to strike the final blow when he looks down to see a terrified Powder underneath him. Her eyes wide open, blood dripping down from her nose she stares at him. She stopped punching him, she just lays there admitting defeat. Just then it feels like Powder was there staring back at him.

Just then after a minute of staring at each other Jinx moves her neck up and throws Ekko's bat pushing it towards her body, closing her eyes. Her lips meet Ekko's. Ekko's eyes immediately open with shock, he holds the back of her head closing his eyes. Her hands rubbing the sides of his cheeks holding herself in place.

Just as the two back away from each other, Jinx's expression is a smile staring into Ekko's eyes while Ekko is still left in shock. As she tries to stand up Ekko holds her and helps her up. Still holding hands they stare into each other's eyes, both blushing. Just as they go to kiss again a voice is heard behind Ekko. Jinx looks around Ekko with him turning around seeing Vi run over. Only 30 feet away she stops.

"Ekko." She stops staring at Ekko. Jinx quickly hides behind Ekko hoping her sister doesn't see her. With all the dust around VI is unable to see Jinx. "Ekko, where's Powder?" Ekko, realizing Jinx is hiding from her, speaks up. "She ran off into the undercity." He yells over to Vi. "Well let's go, we have to take the stone back." Jinx puts the stone into Ekko's hand pushing him towards Piltover. "I'll see you later." She says with a small wave, she walks towards the undercity.

Ekko waves goodbye , he then turns around walking to Vi. Vi walks back to Caitlyn where she is met by Caitlyn's distress. "The Gemstone, It's gone." Ekko smirks, raising the stone in the air. "Oh Really?" Vi turns around to Ekko hugging him. Cait then throws the case to Ekko where he puts the Gemstone, closing it. When Vi goes to pick up Caitlyn Ekko turns facing the foggy bridge only imagining the kiss that happened prior.

"Ekko," Vi taps on his shoulder, waking from his trance. "Uh, yeah." He turns around looking at Vi full on carrying Caitlyn. Cait sits there completely annoyed and embarrassed by being carried. "Let's go," Vi says walking into Piltover. Just then around 30 Enforcers run by, rifles in hand. Just then Silco walks up to the bridge not seeing any signs of Jinx besides the dead Enforcers he turns and walks away with his two body guards.

Jinx enters her layer sitting down on the couch next to her Mylo doll. "He only did that to stop you, he doesn't really love you. JINX!" Mylo's voice echoes in her head. Her face calmer than usual when she hears the voices turns looking at the doll. She stands up, "You aren't real. You're just a part of Jinx." Mylo's laughter is in her head. Instead of yelling she doesn't, Jinx picks up the Mylo doll and Claggor toy hanging them over the edge of the blades she stands on.

"You two don't exist, you're both a part of Jinx that's it." Mylo's voice appears again. "YES, but you're JINX!" His voice yells in laughter. Jinx looks down and back up. No, I'm Powder!' She let's go of the two dolls, letting them fall into the void of the hole. Just as they fall Mylo's voice slowly fades away out of her head. Powder walks back over to her couch laying down fully stretched out, leaning over and grabbing a wet rag placing it on her head where he took a bat to the face. She lays there slowly drifting away, sleeping peacefully for the first time in six years.

Once Vi, Caitlyn, and Ekko get to Cait's how they climb up the window. Ekko sits in the window seal as Vi helps Cait over towards her bathroom as Mrs.Kirraman kicks down the door with a rifle aimed directly at Cait and Vi. Her dad runs out hugging Cait. As they talked Ekko sat in the window looking over the Piltover streets wishing the lanes looked a little like this. After Cait and her parents leave, Vi walks over to Ekko.

"So, what happened?" She asks laying her side against the other side of the window. "Fought." Ekko says, continuing to stare out the window. "You said she ran away, is that what really happened?" Ekko looks over at Vi with a worried look. "I'm only asking because what it looked like you two were really hitting each other hard. Well that's at least what I saw."

Ekko smirked, "Well she didn't just get up and leave." Vi's eyebrow raised. "Spit it Little man." Ekko sighed, under his breath he said. "Let's just say , we may have Powder back." Vi's mouth dropped with her eyes opening. "Wait, so no more Jinx?" He turns to look at her. "Well let's hope so." Vi hugged Ekko tightly, almost making him fall out of the window. "Thank you so much Little Man." Ekko smiled and hugged back. "No problem."

Ekko moves his feet outside the window. "I have to go check on something, I'll be back soon'' just then he jumped out of the window flying away on his board into the foggy streets of Piltover. As he flies next to the bridge he looks upon the bodies on the bridge. Despite them being Enforcers and can't not feel sadness knowing they're people too.

As he zooms around the Undercity searching for Powder he comes across the Last Drop. Dropping down, putting his board on his back he walks in. As he walks in, she sits at the bar. Chuck walks over to him, "may you get you a drink sir?" Ekko smirks looking at Chuck. "You can get me in an office with a one eyed crime boss." Chuck pauses. "One sec." He walks out the bar and up the stairs knocking on Silco's officer.

As he opens the door Silco turns around in his chair. "Um sir, you have someone here for you." He flicks his figures signaling to let them in. Not three minutes later Ekko walks in. Silco grins looking at him. Oh, so you're the one I keep hearing about." Ekko sets his bat down on Silco's desk. "Listen Silco, I'm not here for violence of any kind, I just need you to answer one question for me."

Silco looks up at him "Why would I ever answer anything you say?" "Because if you don't Jinx might die." Silco's face turned worried immediately. "Me and my firelights want to protect Jinx from Enforcers. After the number she did on the bridge they're all coming for her. Legions of them." Silco laughs, I'm supposed to believe you boy?" Ekko cracks his neck. "I really wanted to do this the easy way."

Ekko grabs his bat. Punching Silco in the jaw then walking around his desk slamming his head into the wall holding his neck still with the bat pressing him against the wall squeezing his neck. Silco tris to reach for his knife but he had left it on his desk. "Where is Jinx's hideout." Ekko stares into Ekko's eye pressing harder into his neck.

Silco thinks to himself. "Jinx can handle these rats, maybe I just tell them then alert her." "The big engines down in the Junkyard. One of the propellers is where she's at. Ekko releases the bat off of Silco's neck walking out of the door.
