Chapter 4 : Suicide

As Vi and Jayce reached the bottom of the factory where the child laid, they find the child safely unconscious laying there. On that hard floor, with minor injuries. Jayce looks up at Vi. "Where's the next factory?" Silco sits at his desk, trying to figure out what went wrong with his Jinx. He holds one of her grenades in front of his face. Inspecting it, Sevika walks in. "Sir, Topside just raided one of our factories. All Shimmer has been destroyed along with our equipment. Silco sets the grenade on his desk.

"Topside has gotten bolder." He looks over at the grenade and back at Sevika. "We'll just have to up our defenses then." He stands up walking beside her, he stops looking towards Sevika. "I want you to do something about this. Do we understand each other?" "Yes boss." She said, staring at the window behind his office. As he left out the door she stood there looking at his office, still destroyed from Powder.

Powder sits on a metal beam which sticks out of a rigid and broken building. The building had been almost entirely destroyed by the civil war due to it being beside the bridge that happened when she was only five . She sits legs hanging over the edge, she looks at the bottom of her board metaling with it. She then gets up, turning on the engine of the board. Instead of the green flame a hot pink shot out causing a trail of pink and purple. She jumps off the beam jumping onto the board.

As she jumped onto the board she hovered looking down the bridge staring up at the giant castle-like structures of Piltover. She starts to fly around 100% faster than it was before. Zooming across the bridge in a matter of seconds . She starts flying straight towards the Piltover tower which stands over the undercity and uppercity. Crouching down holding onto the board as she almost ran into the walls of the tower. She starts going straight up climbing the side of the building.

Once she reached the top she jumped off the board grabbing it pulling it down. She lands staring at all of Piltover, people look like ants as she looks down. Over the edge, her eyes began to tear up. Powder begins imagining that day, every person's life she had taken as Jinx. That wasn't me." She fights back as Mylo's voice starts coming back into view. "JINX!" As this keeps going on for minutes straight Powder takes a step over the ledge. Powder falls.

Ekko sits in his room holding hands with each other. Looking down at his hands, all he could think about was Powder. Her smile, her beautiful eyes with her hair wrapping around him. He stands up grabbing his board. He jumps off the tree flying away from the sanctuary. As he floats above the undercity he sees a purple light heading towards the top of the Piltover Council building.

As he flies closer, the Pink light only speeds up until it's going straight up the tower. Out of curiosity he flies into Piltover. As he slowly flies up seeing a small person standing on top of the tower. As he gets closer and pulls out binoculars from his bag he sees Powder what it seems like fighting herself. A worried face goes over Ekko as he goes as fast as he could. Just then Powder falls.

As Powder falls. Everything seems to slow down. She closes her eyes, coming closer to the ground. Just then the voices stopped and all she could think about was Ekko, where was he. How would he react if I did this? Powder suddenly eyes shoot open pulling her board out nearly 20 feet from the ground she flies away. Breathing heavily she flies back towards the undercity. Ekko watches as the pink light flies away, sighing in relief, flying away back to the sanctuary.

As Ekko lands in the sanctuary he notices there is no one in sight. As we walks around Scar runs up to him dragging him into the sanctuary's bunker. Once Ekko's in there Scar and him walk into a private room away from everyone all in one big room. "What's happening?" Ekko asks just as they got into the room. "There was a bombing in the Undercity so we called for a evacuation just incase Piltover was going to war." Ekko's face fills with shock. "Well thankfully it wasn't Piltover but someone from here. The last drop, it was bombed. Thankfully there was minor casualties. Our teams are there now."

"Well, I gotta get up there,'' he says while pushing open the door leaving Scar alone with everyone. As Ekko walks out of the bunker he jumps on his board flying to the Last Drop. As he arrives he sees most of the bar being intact but the office was completely destroyed with a hole in the wall. At Least 7 people were dead. All were working for Silco. As he steps around he sees fragments of Powder's old bombs she made when she was Jinx. He squints picking them up until shock hits him like a bus.

Just then a Firelight walks up to his breaking his trance. "Sir, there's no sign of Jinx or Silco. They were either turned to ash or escaped before the explosion." Ekko turns to the Firelight. "Thanks." He walks around inspecting the damage. The explosion was caused by the roof seeing as the floor and desk were barely touched. The roof had a hole in it along with the wall both combining to make one hole. Ekko thinks to himself then walks out of the officer and down the stairs leading up to them. "Where would Powder go when she's sad." Ekko thinks while walking down the stairs. Then he turns looking at the hallway to the stairs leading down stairs.

As he walked down the stairs he heard faint crying. The whole room was completely pitch black. As he walked around he realized nothing had changed since he was a little boy. Just then a light appeared. A crying Powder had lit a match while sitting on her old bed covered in dust. Ekko walks over to her with a smile on his face. Once he had lit a lamp he looked over in shock finding half of Powder's body covered in ash, blood, and scrapes. He Immediately ran to her. "Powder!"

She looked at him "EKKO!" She reached to hug him as she felt a large pain across her side revealing a slice in her side leaking blood everywhere. Ekko immediately ran up the stairs. As he carried her she began to pass out. Having a fight with herself trying not to pass out. "STAY WITH ME POWDER!" Ekko yelled as he ran, hopping on her board, zooming away at such high speeds his hairs started flying back with his hood. His mask was only held on by a few straps. As they landed in the sanctuary he quickly laid her down on a table. Running over to the shelter. "Where's the doctor!" As he said that the Firelight medic walked over to him.

Ekko grabbed his hand pulling him back to Powder who lay unconscious. "IS THIS JINX!" The medic yelled. "Just help her, I can explain later." The doctor started to carry her to the medic's room, setting her on a bed and started attending to her cut. Ekko sat in the room, his leg bouncing up and down as he bit his nails. Watching as the doctor began to administer a small amount of shimmer to her while bandaging her side.

Ekko's eyes shot open. "Sh-Shimmer?" The doctor is still working. "It's a variant from the lanes, it heals without any drastic effects to the user." Ekko's body relaxed in the chair staring at the doctor as he wiped away the ash from her face. Just as she swallowed the Shimmer she jolted out. Her eyes wide open as a purple faded into her pupils before disappearing. The doctor ran back away covering his face with his arms.

"Wha-What's happening." She looks over seeing Ekko then the doctor covering himself in fear. She gets up from the bed walking over to him. Her arms out. Just then she grabbed him tightly with a hug. "Thank you so much." Just then the doctor lowered his defense. "N-no problem." She immediately turned running towards Ekko hugging him tightly. Her head fell back facing Ekko's as their lips met each other. The doctor just stood there in complete shock mouth wide open.

Ekko let go of Powder walking the doctor out of the room where he proceeded to explain everything to him. Powder meanwhile sat down in the chair in the room looking and feeling her side. The cut had completely healed itself. Not only that but he had more energy and in general felt much better. Ekko walked back into Powder, "Ok so the doctor promised not to tell anyone, but you and I need to talk. Powder nodded as she got up walking out the door with Ekko. As the two flew off on their boards they landed on top of PIltover's Council building where Powder was earlier.

As Powder sat there where Ekko slowly rode up jumping to her side where they both sat legs hanging over the edge. Ekko looked over at Powder. "So, what happened with the explosion?"
