Chapter 3: What's Mine

    "ZENITSU!" Tanjiro shouted as he followed his friend out of the bar. He threw down some money hoping that he had left enough but caring more about Zenitsu he left. Within a minute they were both gone leaving Rengoku and the white haired man standing together in shock.

"Mr. Uzui was that kid your mate?" Rengoku asked his boss.

"It would seem so." Uzui said as he rubbed his chin. "The other boy is yours isn't he?"

"Yes." Rengoku said with a small smile.

"Interesting." Uzui looked at his friend and employee. "How are we going to find them?"

"I don't know." Rengoku said as he started to rub his chin. Neither man noticed as Inosuke walked up.

"Huh where they go?" Inosuke said, making both men look at him.

"Who? They boys who were here earlier? One with yellow hair, the other had a scar." Uzui looked at Inosuke.

"Yeah they're my roommates. They were supposed to wait for me to get off work." Inosuke looked at his boss with a slightly annoyed expression.

"Interesting, really interesting." Uzui said as he turned to look at Rengoku who simply nodded. The two men left the bar and went into the back office. Uzui sat at his desk and Rengku sat on a couch against the left wall.

"So our mates..." Rengoku started to say before Uzui put up a hand to stop him.

"I know they're not in the life. But is that going to stop you from claiming him?" Uzui leaned over his desk with a scary serious face.

"No it's not." Rengoku answered. "But yours seem to have an issue with you being a man."

"I noticed. But whether he likes it or not, he is mine." Uzui said. He thought about his little mate. He heard the boy with the scar call him Zenitsu. "Zenitsu huh?"

"What?" Rengoku asked.

"That's his name."

"Oh. Mine is named Tanjiro." Rengoku more sang the name of his mate then said.

"I wonder how mine will handle being a yakuza wife?" Uzui said as he looked away from his friend. That's right Uzui ran one of the most feared yakuzas' in the country. Rengoku was his right hand man. Uzui bar was one of the many businesses that his family owned. And to think the night he chose to come in to work on the books, his mate just happened to be here.

"I don't know if either of them can handle it. We'll have to watch them some more." Rengoku said.

"Well good thing we got their address." Said Uzui as he held up a piece of paper that had a picture of Inosuke on it. It was his resume which happen to have his address on it which means they have their mates address as well.

-At the same time-

"Zenitsu, wait up!" Tanjiro called out to his friend who was clearly shaken and moving fast.

"Sor...Sorry. I just couldn't..." Said Zenitsu, not really looking at his friend.

"The white hair guy is your fated mate isn't he?" Tanjiro asked as he pulled his friend into a sideways hug.

"Yeah." Said Zenitsu and he let his friend move his body. "That Rengoku is yours isn't he?"

"Yeah I think so." Tanjiro answered.

"Are you going to you know...Let him bite you?" Zenitsu asked his friend a little nervous.

"Honestly I don't know. I think I do want to get to know him and see where that leads." Tanjiro said. "What about you?"

"Honestly I don't think so. I don't think I want a male mate." Zenitsu said honestly.

"Well don't say no until you really think about it, ok?" Tanjiro said as they made it to the train station.

"I will think about it. I promise." Zenitsu looked at his friend with a small smile.

"You know Inosuke is going to be pissed when he gets home." Tanjiro laughed at his own comment.

"You're right." Zenitsu starts to laugh. Causing Tanjiro to laugh more, soon enough both men were laughing so hard. "Wanna head home?"

"Sure." Tanjiro giggled.

"Sorry about your birthday." Zenitsu looked down a little sad.

"It was fine. Pretty good until the end." Tanjiro said. The two of them made their way home in no time at all. And sure enough when Inosuke got home he was pissed.
