Chapter 5: I'll Try

Zenitsu was too shocked at first to realize that Uzui was kissing him, but soon he was feeling the mate bond in full effect. Zenitsu was soon kissing back. Uzui laughed as he started to start kissing Zenitsu's neck. Zenitsu let out a small gasp and that made Uzui look up at his mate who was completely red. Uzui realized that Zenitsu was freaking out a little and that he should not go any farther. He was happy that Zenitsu was even considering becoming his mate seeing how he ran away their first time meeting. Uzui kissed Zenitsu cheek one time then pulled his mate close to him.

"So what are you watching?" Uzui asked his mate as he snuggled close to him.

"A superhero movie." Replied Zenitsu has he curled his body up.

"Cool." Uzui said as Zenitsu pressed play on the movie. Now the night had turned into an at home movie date. The pizza arrived shortly after Uzui did and Uzui paid for it. Even though Zenitsu said that he would pay, Uzui patted his mate and said not to worry about it. Uzui wants to take care of Zenitsu in any way he can. The rest of the night went pretty smoothly and by the end of the night Zenitsu was leaning against Uzui. The click of the front door caused Zenitsu to sit up and look at the door. Tanjiro walked through the door with Rengoku following behind.

"Oh...Zenitsu I didn't know you were having someone over." Tanjiro said with a small approving smile.

"It was...kind of a sudden change in plans." Zenitsu said, looking at Uzui, who simply smiled at him.

"Well I think it's time to say goodnight. Zenitsu, will you walk me out?" Uzui said as he grabbed his coat he had taken off some time ago.

"Sure." Zenitsu got up and followed Uzui to the door.

"Before we say goodnight, give me your phone." Uzui took Zenitsu's phone as it was passed to him. He quickly typed his number in and then gave Zenitsu his phone who did the same.

"Goodnight little mate." Uzui said as he kissed Zenitsu's cheek.

"G...Goodnight Uzui." Said Zenitsu trying to hide his embarrassment.

"Excuse me." Rengoku made his way past Zenitsu.

"Are you leaving too?" Uzui asked his friend.

"Yes." Rengoku said. Zenitsu closed the door leaving the two men alone, the two of them started walking to their cars.

"So?" Rengoku said, looking at his friend and boss.

"Spit it out Rengoku." Uzui said, rather annoyed.

"Your mate seems more accepting of you." Rengoku said with a smile as he recalled seeing them cuddling on the couch.

"He has decided to give me a chance. But I almost lost him." Said Uzui with a bit of a cold tone.

"What do you mean?" Rengoku asked.

"Well someone didn't tell if he really did live here like they were supposed to. And he thought that I didn't want him. He thought I was planning how to reject him." Uzui's tone and look made Rengoku swallow a little.

"Sorry boss. I just was a little too happy about my mate." Said Rengoku.

"I get it. I do and I'm not that mad." Uzui said with a knowing tone. After he got the approval from Zenitsu he understood what Rengoku must have been feeling. He didn't want to leave Zenitsu at all but he knew Zenitsu wasn't ready for a stay over yet. "Anyway I have a meeting I'm running late for."

"Okay I'm going home. See you tomorrow at the other meeting boss." Rengoku waved goodbye to his boss and hopped in his car.

Uzui hopped into his own car and drove to the hostess club that he owned. Every so often he had to check the business under his control. This club was ran by three members of his clan. The women were betas that happen to be his best friends, they grew up together. Their hostess club earned some of the best money. It was called Sheer. It took Uzui only 15 minute to get to the club. He quickly walked into the club that was full. Soon a woman came running up to Uzui.

"Lord Tengen!" The woman said.

"Hey Suma. How is one of my favorite flashy ladies?" Uzui said with a smile.

"I'm good. I heard some interesting news about you though." Suma said as her and Uzui walked more into the club.

"Oh, I wonder what that was." Uzui was clearly playing dumb. His mate being found was news within the clan.

"Hey don't play dumb. I know you found your fated pair." She smacked him lightly. The two of them sat down as they waited for the other people that needed to join them to finish their work.

"Yeah I found him. He is a little feisty and cute." Uzui said. Unknown to him at the time, their conversations had caught the attention of member of a rival clan.

"He? Your mate is male?" Suma said as two other women sat down with them at the table.

"Yes. He is a university student. Hey Makio and Hinatsuru." Said Uzui acknowledging the other women.

"Lord Tengen." The women said together. "Congratulations about the discovery of the mate."

"Thank you." Uzui said as he watched the three women exchange kisses. Yes, Makio, Hinatsuru, and Suma were together. But Uzui didn't care as long as his friends were happy. "Anyway what am I doing here?"

"Right we have had some of the Muzan clan in here." Makio said.

"What? How are you sure?" Uzui said, now fully paying attention.

"Because Hinatsuru followed them when we had our suspicions. We thought we should tell you." Suma said.

"I understand thank you for telling me." Uzui felt his phone buzzing and he looked at it. Once he read the message he smiled. It was from Zenitsu saying goodnight. Uzui quickly replied and waited to hear the buzz that was coming. No more than 30 seconds later the reply came and he laughed.

"What is funny lord Tengen?" Asked Hinatsuru.

"It seems I have a date on Saturday." Uzui said with a bright smile.
