Chapter 11: All in a Night's Work!

After a long day of dates, both Zenitsu and Tanjiro returned home at the same time. They both worked the late shift tonight. They gave each other a small smile and went to their respective rooms. They put on their work shirts and trousers, they were only wait staff at the peaceful spring but they used nicknames just for extra safety. 

In most omega bars the Omegas were hosts tending to the needs of Alphas. Some bar even took things further. But Peaceful Spring was different, Mr. Urokodaki's wife was an Omega who could get a job anywhere due to her second gender. So, after she passed Mr. Urokodaki built a place that any Omega can work at, that was safe. Peaceful Spring was more like a normal bar that just had an unusually high amount of Omega employees. But because of the stereotypes, they were labeled an Omega bar. Zenitsu and Tanjiro really didn't care but they each have had a bad experience when mentioning where they worked to different people. Zenitsu walked out of his room and met Tanjiro in the living room. 

"How was your date?" Zenitsu asked his friend. 

"It was good. How about yours?" Tanjiro replied with a soft smile. 

"Pretty good. We almost talked about my job today and I got really nervous." Zenitsu said, looking down, hanging his head. 

"Same but I told Rengoku about my job and he didn't seem to care." Tanjiro placed a hand on his friend's shoulder. 

"I hope when I tell Uzui he will have the same reaction." Zenitsu said with a slightly forced smile. 

"I think he will. Now let's get to work before we get in trouble." Tanjiro said with a small giggle. 

It only took Tanjiro and Zenitsu about 15 minutes to get to work. Once they were in the building they finished putting on the rest of their uniforms and got to work. The bar was usually crowded on weekends but tonight wasn't so bad. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves and nothing was out of the ordinary. 

That was until a slightly familiar scent and dark hair caught Zenitsu attention. His memories of his date with Uzui came to his mind but not the good parts. The one memory of that day he really wanted to forget. Soon Kaigaku came into view and Zenitsu sighed. 

"What's wrong?" Sabito asked. Sabito was the chef at the restaurant and an Alpha. He was one of only five Alphas who worked at Peaceful spring. He is very protective of the younger members of staff, he was like their big brother. Oddly enough he met his fated mate while working at this bar, a cold and beautiful Omega named Giyuu. They have been bonded for about 5 years. 

"Nothing, just a rude Alpha I met the other day." Zenitsu said with a forced smile. 

"Alright but he causes trouble let me know and I'll kick him out." Sabito said with a tilt of his head and a smile. Zenitsu grab his order which was quickly getting cold. Zenitsu quickly started moving to the table with the order. Zenitsu hoped that Kaigaku wouldn't notice him and he could go about his shift. 

It seemed to be working until Zenitsu felt a hot gaze on him. He did his best to ignore him and do his job but it was getting harder. Thankfully Kaigaku had sat in Tanjiro's section, so Zenitsu didn't have to go anywhere near him. As he continued to work Zenitsu could feel Kaigaku getting angry and angry. It seemed that Kaigaku really wanted Zenitsu attention and since he wasn't getting it, he was now glaring. 

After about another 20 minutes of being ignored Kaigaku got up and walked over to Zenitsu who was waiting on another table. Kaigaku grabbed Zenitsu's arm and yanked him, this caused Zenitsu to drop the tray he was holding. 

"Hey you stupid Omega pay attention to me." He pulled Zenitsu's arm again hard this time causing a loud whimper to leave Zenitsu's lips. The whole bar froze and looked at the scene unfolding. A loud growl echoed throughout the bar making Kaigaku look at the source and to his surprise it was a completely different Alpha. "How many Alphas do you have little cutie?"

"Let him go! I will only ask once." Sabito said with authority. Kaigaku let go and Zenitsu stretched his arm out and rubbed the sore spot. "Are you ok?" Sabito turned to look at Zenitsu, completely ignoring Kaigaku. 

"I'm fine. Thank you Sabito." Zenitsu showed his co-worker a small smile. Once Sabito was satisfied that Zenitsu was ok, he turned his attention back to Kaigaku. 

"You need to leave now!" Sabito said with anger in his voice. "Those who are rude and disrespectful to our staff are not welcome here." 

"Are you choosing to protect that stupid Omega over a customer?" Kaigaku said venom oozing from every word.

"Yes. Now get out." Sabito had already security coming towards them with a wave of his hand. With that Kaigaku was removed from the bar. 

"Thanks again Sabito." Zenitsu said with a bow. 

"No problem Zen-chan, it's all in a night's work." Sabito said with a bright smile patting Zenitsu's head. 

Once outside the bar Kaigaku grabbed his phone and made a call to an unknown number. "Hey boss, yeah I found him. Uzui mate works in an Omega bar called Peaceful Spring and has no protection other than the bar staff." After a few minutes of listening to the other side of the conversation. Kaigaku continued with "Oh and boss he is unmarked. So, can I have him?" And a lick of his lips.
