At the same time in another part of the shopping center Tanjiro was standing by a fountain waiting for his mate to show up. Tanjiro had arrived 15 minutes earlier but he was just super excited for his date. Since they met, he and Rengoku have been on several dates. They love spending time together, however the more time they spend together the more Tanjiro feels that Rengoku is hiding something important. It's been eating at Tanjiro and though he wants to call Rengoku out on it, he can't help but feel like a hypocrite for he too is hiding things from him.

After a few minutes lost in his thoughts Tanjiro saw a shadow cast on his feet. He looked up to see the smiling face of his mate in front of him. Tanjiro couldn't help but smile at his mate, always looking so happy. Rengoku pick up one of Tanjiro's hands and gave it a small kiss before giving Tanjiro's forehead a small kiss as well.

"Hey babe. Wait a long time?" Rengoku said with his bright smile.

"Nope." Tanjiro said with a bright smile. Rengoku grabbed Tanjiro's hand and the two of them started walking along. They didn't really have a plan for today other than spending time together.

"Wanna grab some lunch?" Tanjiro asked.

"Sounds perfect." Rengoku said. The two of them walked to a nearby restaurant hand in hand. They just chit chatted about their daily lives. Tanjiro kept trying to get more information out of Rengoku but it didn't seem to be working. Not all his questions were blown off, only some of them. One pertaining to his job or his relationship with Zenitsu mate. Tanjiro again tried not to let this bug him. Once inside they were seated rather quickly and given time to look at the menu. When a young man who appears to be a waiter walks up to the table. He looks at Tanjiro a little too long for Rengoku liking. He didn't stop even after Rengoku let out a small warning growl. Rengoku was about to say something when the waiter made a face of recognition.

"Tan-chan!" He said with a smile. All the color left Tanjiro's face. He didn't want to have this conversation with Rengoku now. Realizing that Tanjiro was uncomfortable, the waiter didn't say anything else and took their orders. Tanjiro didn't look at Rengoku at all.

"Babe...do you know him?" Rengoku asked, trying to look Tanjiro in the eyes.

"No but he used my nickname from work." Tanjiro said, twirling his thumbs.

"Work?" Rengoku asked as he grab his mates hands and held them tight hoping to provide him with some comfort and support.

"I..." Tanjiro took a deep breath. "I work at an Omega bar part time and I go by Tan-chan there." Tanjiro felt a tear prick his eye. He didn't want Rengoku to hate him or think that he was gross or something way worse.

"And you didn't tell me because?" Rengoku asked, keeping a grip on Tanjiro's hands.

"Because...I...Didn't want you to think less of me." Tanjiro finally looked up. He expected to see hate or disgust in his eyes but he saw only love.

"Tanjiro, I would never judge you for your job. As long as you're safe and your job is a nice place." Rengoku said. Tanjiro started to cry as he told Rengoku about his work place Peaceful Spring.

"I hope Zenitsu tell Uzui soon." After he said it Tanjiro covered his mouth. "Don't tell Uzui please, it's not my secret to tell." After a moment of shock Rengoku nodded his head. The boss isn't going to like his mate working in a place like that but from what Tanjiro told him it seems like a safe place. The owner Urokodaki's wife was an Omega and after she passed away he wanted to honor her memory. So he made a place for Omegas to work in a safe place without them being put into tough spots. After meeting his mate Rengoku understood more about Omegas and their struggles. Though when they do make things official he just hope Tanjiro was accepting of his true profession.
