I'm a Yakuza boss's mate!?!

Chapter 9: A coincidence?

Uzui laughed at his mate who kept his face buried for a few more minutes before moving to go change. Uzui put his shirt on that Zenitsu had brought out of his room. Then he went about cleaning up breakfast, he was just about finished when his mate came back in the room looking rather cute. Zenitsu was wearing a black tank top with a white and orange shirt over the top, with black shorts. Uzui was glad his shorts went down to his knees this time. Uzui's eyes naturally wandered back to where Zenitsu's collar was. He couldn't wait to replace that collar with his bite.

"Ready?" Uzui asked his mate.

"Yup." Zenitsu said with a smile.

"Great! Let's go." Uzui grabbed Zenitsu's hand and the two of them left the apartment. They got into Uzui's car and started to drive towards the closest shopping center.

"So what movie should we see?" Zenitsu asked.

"I don't care as long as we go see it together." Uzui said with a big grin. Zenitsu shook his head and giggled at Uzui. They drove the rest of the way in comfortable silence. Zenitsu thought to himself that this was weird, two weeks ago he didn't want a mate, especially a male one. Here he was going on another date with his male mate who he had to admit was hot and winning him over. Although he had a feeling that Uzui was hiding something from him, and it was driving him bonkers. Considering that he had a secret of his own he didn't want to judge. They really didn't know that much about each other. But as time went on he hoped that they would get to know everything about each other. A few minutes later they pulled into the shopping center parking area.

"We're here." Uzui said as he unbuckled himself. Zenitsu followed suit and both men got out of the car. "So do we want to do some shopping first or do you want to go watch a movie?"

"Hmmm... Let's go see what movies there are and what times then decide." Zenitsu answered as he took his mate's hand.

"Great plan." Uzui said as he let his mate lead the way. Zenitsu was usually more shy than this but he was getting more used to it. He was concerned at first that people stare at them but as they continue along he noticed a mitx of same sex and oppsite couple everywhere. They really didn't stand out. They walked a little bit farther, coming to the movie theater. After looking at all the different movies, they decided on a new action movie that started in a few hours.

"So we got some time, what should we do?" Uzui asked his mate.

"I know of a little cafe near here where we could go get some coffee." Zenitsu said.

"Sounds perfect." Uzui said. He let his mate lead him again through the center towards a little shop that was called Lovely Serpent. Uzui narrowed his eyes; he knew this store was a front for some interesting people. They walked into the store and Zentisu walked up to the counter. Where a woman with pink and green hair, and matching green eyes was standing.

"Mitsyuri! How are you?" Zenitsu said with a bright smile. Mitsyuri returned the smile but the man that was a few inches shorter than her with one yellow and one blue was death glaring Zenitsu. So Uzui walked up behind and placed his hand on Zenitsu's hip. At first Zenitsu seemed surprised but after a second he settled into the touch. This seems to make the man stop glaring at his mate.

"Hey Zenitsu, Iguro and I are doing quite well." She said to look between Zenitsu and Uzui. "Who's with you today?"

"Oh right, this is Uzui." Zenitsu said with a smile in the direction of Uzui.

"Nice to meet you." Uzui said, offering his hand. He noticed a serpent on her necklace when Uzui knew he was right. These were the hitters, two professional killers. That mostly worked for the Yakuza. He had hired them once or twice before, to clean up some messes. He looked at his mate. Was it just by chance that Zenitsu had some unknown connections to the yakuza? And that he was destined to Uzui's mate? Uzui pushed the strange coincidence out of his mind and simply watched his mate order a caramel coffee.

"What would you like?" Mitsyuri addresses the question to Uzui.

"Coffee black for me." Uzui said with a smile. Him and Zenitsu went to sit down, while they waited for their coffee. "So you come here often?"

"Sometimes I come here after work." Zenitsu froze as he finished the statement he wished he hadn't said anything.

"Oh so you work around here?" Uzui asked as Mitsyuri placed their coffee on the table with a happy smile.

"I do." Zenitsu said with a forced smile. He hoped this conversation ended quickly. "Nowhere too exciting though."

"Interesting. You're not going to tell me are you?" Uzui asked as he took a sip of his coffee.

"Nope you're going to have to figure that out." Zenitsu said trying to act playful.

"Fine but when I figure it out I expect a prize." Uzui said.

"Deal." Zenitsu said knowing that Uzui would never guess where he works. The two of them continued talking while they drank their coffee. Zenitsu learned that Uzui and Rengoku have been best friends since they were children. And Uzui had other business that he owns, he inherited after his father passed away a few years ago. It was nice for Zenitsu to learn some information about his mate. They always seem to end up talking about him and started to feel like he would run out of things to say. Zenitsu that one day he would be able to tell his mate everything including about his work.
