"Shit," I mumbled. I continue walking back and forth. I can't sleep.

Naguguluhan akong napapikit at bumuntong hininga bago mapasabunot sa sarili.

Who the fuck will believe a damn old woman?! Who's that stupid human?! Who?!

It was me! Fuck it!

From my office, nagcommute ako papauwi dahil pinauwi ko na ang mama kong dumalaw kanina. Pagbaba ko sa bus ay dire-diretso akong naglakad.

Napansin kong madilim na ang buong subdivision at ako na lamang ang naglalakad, napatingala pa ako at nakita kong kabilugan ng buwan ngayon.

"shit!--" halos mapasuntok ako sa hangin dahil sa gulat nang makita ang isang matandang babaeng nasa harapan ko. Nakasuot ito ng balabal at mahabang duster.

"What's wrong with you?!" I shouted. I cursed silently when I realize that I'm being too harsh.

"U-Uh, m-may problema po ba kayo lola? You need some help? What are you doing here in the middle of the night---"

"Iho..." I felt a sudden shiver and goosebumps when I heard her voice. I realized that she's been staring at my eyes the whole time.

"Mamamatay ang babaeng pinakamamahal mo..."

Mamamatay ang ano ulit?

"W-What?" I asked, thinking that I misheard something.

"Mamamatay ang babaeng pinakamamahal mo..."

When finally, everything sunk and my mind was done absorbing her words, I forced a laugh.

"W-What do you mean?" I asked again.

"Mamamatay--"

"Damn it! Stop that! How could you say that, old woman?!" I turned my back to calm myself and then I sighed. Lumingon ako sa kanya bago magsalita.

"I'm sorry---" but she's gone. She's not there anymore.

"Fucking calm yourself, man! Stop! stop! stop!" I talked to myself.

It creeps me out, shit.

The next days mas naging protective ako sa girlfriend ko.

Yes, I have a girlfriend named Shen.

"Susunduin kita mamaya."

"Why did you become too overprotective all of a sudden? Lols." she laughed a bit.

"Basta susunduin kita."

"Hey babe, hinahatid mo 'ko every morning. Sinusundo mo 'ko sa office ko para sabay makipag lunch, susunduin mo 'ko tuwing uwian. May problema ka ba?" She asked.

Naalala ko ulit ang matanda at ang mga binitiwan nitong salita.

Wala naman sigurong mawawala kung magiging maingat kahit hindi totoo yung sinasabi niya.

"Nothing, I just want you to be safe. I love you."

"I love you too." she then gave me a peck on my lips.

Days had passed and nothing unexpected happened, except for my mother's arrival which is a good news.

"Son! Nagtatampo na 'ko! Hindi mo na ako dinadalaw!" My mom said while pouting.

"Sorry mom, babawi ako ngayon." I smiled. "Where do you wanna eat?"

Nagbonding kami ni mommy habang narito siya sa pilipinas. Pumunta kami sa resort at nag-enjoy pero hindi ko nakakalimutang i-contact si Shen.
