Chapter 14

Chapter 14. Fast forward

3 years later

So I'm now 15 (almost 16.) Lilly is now a 9 year old. I guess time flies. High school is starting and I've still got my friends. Chris is still my buddy. Lilly is still my little sister. My mom is still a bitch. Derek is still an asshole. And Rachel is still, and always will be the love of my life.

I've narrowed the whole street fighting thing. I only did one because Chris made me. Rachel said I shouldn't but she'd still support me. Support me or not I quit it a while ago. The only issue with that was I would sleep hungry but Derek would bring food home. This is the only thing I support Derek with.

I woke up and put on my usual outfit. A plaid shirt, black hoodie, ripped up jeans, and a beanie. The same beanie I've had for years.

Chris picked me up from my apartment. I looked around his car, he had beer bottles in the back.

"Chris....what the hell?" I asked.

"Look I swear I'm driving responsibly, plus those are Luke's," he swore to me.

"Why the fuck does Luke drink at the age of 15 and why would he have to?" I asked furious at Luke.

Chris though for a second, not taking his eyes off the road, "you did valium at 12,"

"Okay shut up that's different." I laughed at him.

"True. Luke has been saying he's sad lately. Oh yeah, he invited you to this party thingy," Chris laughed.

"Oh fun," I said sarcastically.

"It's like he wants you dead," Chris said suspiciously.

"Maybe he does, I don't trust em." I replied

"Good neither do I," he smiled.

We reached the high school. I grabbed my backpack and walked inside. I texted Rachel that I was inside the school. I was surprised I actually made it through middle school. It was from Rachel's help of course.

It was only a meet and greet and we could leave at any minute. I was just staying near the entrance of the school. Chris walked down to meet some "teachers" or girls. I stayed were I was.

I got lost in thought when a someone wrapped their arms around me. I turned around and saw Rachel.

"Hey baby." I smiled kissing her cheek.

"Hey," her face got red. "So what are you doing tonight?"

"Well I have work." I looked down sad. "Why, what's up?"

"Well, My girl friends and I were gonna go with Chirs, Luke, and hopefully you to the fighting ring," she smirked at me.

"I thought you hated me fighting there and I thought you hated that place." I looked at her confused.

"No, if you like it, then I support you baby," she kissed my cheek.

I got back home from the meet and greet. I walked up the creepy stairs and said hi to Mrs. Williams. I got my key out and unlocked the apartment doors.

I saw Lilly playing with toys on the ground. "Hi Lilly."

"Hey Logan, Where were you?" She asked me turned around looking up at me.

"I was at a meet and greet for high school." I heard my mother getting up form her bed. "Hey Lilly lets go outside."

I picked up Lilly and put her on my shoulders. I carried her out and we walked in the dirt next to the complex. I started to run with her in my arms and I put her down.

"So how are you and Rachel together?" She asked me.

"You're really into talking about Rachel and I, huh?" I smiled at Lilly.

She nodded her head and grabbed my hand.

"Well we meet in computer class and we both helped each other a lot," I answered back.

We walked and ran for about two hours. We talked and played games. I decided it was time to go home so I picked up Lilly and carried her back to our complex. I was about halfway from the driveway to the complex door when two big trucks pulled up behind me. I told Lilly to run in our complex and lock the doors. She ran inside and did what I said.

All of the tangos jumped out of their trucks. They all had pissed faces and all looked like they wanted to kill me. DeathJam got closer to me.

"So you're fighting now?" He asked me.

I nodded and stepped backwards.

"Get your ass over here when I'm talking to you!" He yelled at me.

I did what he said and got closer to him. Future ran over and grabbed my head he pushed me down and threw off my beanie. They both kicked me. They yelled at me to get up. I did what they said and Wing pushed me against the car. He punched me repeatedly until my nose was bleeding. He threw my body towards PublicEM. He grabbed a rock off the ground and smashed it on my back four times causing it to bleed. All them kicked me at the same time then.

I saw Lilly screaming from a window. Why is she watching me? This isn't good.

They all stopped for a second as I my world stopped. Are you fucking kidding me? I saw a white kid with blond hair and a biker jacket climb out of one of the trucks. I know that asshole from anywhere. Luke.

Luke had a gun in his hand. The guys made me stand up.

"Hello Logan," Luke glared at me.

"Fuck you!" I yelled.

He punched my stomach and pointed the gun at my head.

"I could end your god damn life right here," he smirked.

He pulled the gun lower and back to his side. He kicked me and I fell over.

"Hey Logan, good luck at the next fight," Luke and the tangos all laughed, "and your hot girlfriend...better watch out."

I didn't like the sound of that.

"I swear to god if you fucking touch her...." I was cut off.

"I'll do more than touch her buddy," he smirked.

He then pointed the gun at my calf. He shot.

My vision went blurry and I was laying in my own blood. I couldn't see Lilly anymore. I couldn't see past so many feet. It was getting darker and darker.

I saw another car get close. Did they come back?

But this time it was a fancy car and a girl walked out of it. Rachel?

Rachel holding me was the last thing I saw.
