Chapter 20. Memories.

Life's been pretty good lately. It's been a while now since I've been with Rachel. We're both 17 and in a year I'm gonna marry her. I need to for Brooklynn.

But for now we're not alone we have Chris, Jo, Brady, Luis, Shelby, and Sophia. The best friends we could have. Were all school dropouts except Shelby. I guess she's the successful one out of all of us. But the rest of us is helping me getting a fighting deal.

I need to give little Brooklynn a good life.

I had a fight tonight that Chris was claiming to be pretty good and interesting. Before I went over I wanted to check on Jo and drive back to my old place.

I put my shoes on and Shelby was making breakfast.

"Logan do you want any?" She asked.

"No I'm fine thank you I gotta run." I smiled.

I walked over to Rachel and Brooklynn in her arms. I picked Brooklynn up and tossed her and caught her. I kissed her forehead.

"Daddy loves you," I kissed her. "Yes he does," I said in a doggy voice.

"Aw this is cute," Rachel kissed my cheek.

"Like you." I replied.

Shelby then interrupted. "Please don't get her pregnant again Logan, at least not yet."

We all started to laugh, "He might at the rate he's at." Rachel winked.

I said bye and walked out the door. I got in my truck and drove to Jo's. I knocked on her door but she didn't answer. I didn't want to trespass but it was wide open. I let myself in and walked inside.

I looked around her house and called her name. It was completely dark and scary. What's going on?

I saw her laying in her bed. She looked scared.

"Jo?" I asked.

"Omg Logan thank god!" She yelled.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

She ran up and hugged me. "Are you okay?" I asked.

"Sorry just a really bad panic attack." she looked down.

"Jo, don't worry I know how you feel..." I hugged her back.

"You stopped it." she smiled.

"Good." I smiled back. "You're not alone. I'm here whenever you need me."

"Thank you." she hugged me again.

Jo didn't want to be alone after this so she got in my truck with me. I told her about me and I told her I'd be gone for a bit to go into my old apartment. She told me it was fine if I did.

Once we arrived I left her there and walked up my steps to the apartments. I saw Mrs. William's room and it said she wasn't there anymore. I don't know why.

I walked up to my old complex. It said they only had a week until evicted. Wow they survived a year without me. I knocked on the door. After a few a girl with blond hair opened the door. She was 11 years old. It was Lilly!

"Lilly!" I grabbed her and put her in my arms.

"Logan! Oh my god! I love you!" She screamed.

"I love you too!" I was so happy.

I let go and walked in the house. I texted Jo to drive to Chris's and they could pick me up later along with the rest of the gang.

I saw my mom on the couch. "Hey mom."

"Logan oh my!" She looked happy. "I'm so sorry for kicking you out."

I thought for a second, "Mom. Kicking me out was the best thing you've ever done."

Her smile faded. Lilly took me to her room. It was more teenager than little girl anymore. She was telling me how she now has a boyfriend and is now in middle school. Time flies. It was about 30 minutes till I saw Derek. He was on the couch with my mom.

He turned around and saw me. "I thought I got rid of you."

"No bitch I'm still here I'm never leaving!" I finally stood up to him.

"What the hell did you just say to me!" He screamed. My sister tried to stop it but he pushed her back.

"Fuck you!" I grabbed him and pushed him in to the door I punched him and kicked him. "Don't you ever hurt her!"

My mom tried to stop me but I hit Derek so hard I the door broke and I fell with him.

"You better fucking leave!" I yelled. Derek nodded scared shitless and ran out. THATS THE LAST OF DEREK.

Lilly hugged me and my mom just stayed there in shock.

"Lilly I'm so sorry I didn't grab you and run when we had the chance."

"Logan it's okay." she smiled.

"Let's go." I grabbed her hand.

I texted Jo to come get me. After a few the whole crew rode over in Brady's SUV. I got passenger and Rachel got driver. Chris and Sophia got next seats and Lilly sat on the ground. Shelby, Luis, and Jo got back. And unfortunately, Brady got trunk.

"It's crammed back her!" He'd yell. Then Luis would always respond. "That's how I felt."

I held Rachel's hand and kissed it. She smiled but kept her eyes on the rode. We were driving to a fast food place before my fight. But of course I'll need to digest.

We pulled in and we all got out. We had to get a giant table due to having the 9 of us. I sat next to Rachel and Lilly. Everyone was getting along with Lilly. They all asked me if they should be careful of cussing. I said Lilly's fine due to my mom probably saying all of them in front of her.

As we were eating my hand started to go up Rachel's thigh. I made my feet touch hers. I wanted to make her excited and awkward.

She would get me back by putting her hand on my crotch. Well two can play at this. I got her back and she made a loud, I should say hot, sound of giggling/yelling. Was that a moan Rachel?

Our friends were giving us the look. I kissed Rachel on the lips and everyone thought it was cute.

This is one of those moments you want to have last forever.
