Deku. Unable to achieve anything, useless, powerless, a waste of space, these are the many things that he's heard over his life, born quirkless in a world full of super-powered humans. Why did the world hate him so much? His entire life all he'd dreamed of was to be a great hero like the number one All Might but he was made a worthless weakling. Every day he longed for the ability to move things with his mind or maybe breathe out a single flame but never did he get such satisfaction, only did he ever get met with disappointment and more false hopes. Everything he ever tried to do was met with disappointment and everyone around him would just point and laugh, if not physically attack him over his weakness.

Izuku sat down in his classroom just silently writing notes in one of his many hero notebooks when his teacher began talking, he spoke about his classmates and where they were tying to go for school. He just sat there scared and worried as he knew his teacher got closer and closer to his name, he applied for U.A and he knew everyone would laugh and make fun of him for that. He just sat there shaking until he heard a tapping at the glass, it was loud, too loud for nobody else to notice. He slowly turned over and for but a moment saw something he didn't understand.Something, something that looked like hundreds of organs stitched together into one grotesque being. A large empty hole in where a head would be, what looked like intestines almost floating in the wind, it stared right at him...no its stared right into him and he could feel it's presence. The way its gaze poked around his body, the uncontrollable mania he felt while staring into its hollow skull, the gore hit the windows covering them in blood as it continued tapping upon those windows. It beckoned for him...

Katsuki Bakugo was simply sitting down in class going about his usual charades of constantly talking down upon others to make himself feel better when he heard his teacher point out how he applied for U.A he was going to make some quick witted comment but a loud distressed scream came from the other side of the classroom, he looked over only to be shoved off of his chair and onto the floor by Deku who sprinted out of the classroom. He angrily got to his feet and began chasing after him but suddenly he was gone, as if he just rounded the corner and disappeared. He angrily and hesitantly returned to class as he looked over at Deku's desk, he left his stupid little hero notebook? Now that was very unlike the stupid Deku he knew, he barely went anywhere without those stupid notebooks. He waited until the end of class and walked over to his desk looking at the abandoned notebook, he was in the middle of writing a sentence too. He didn't like the annoying little twerp but this was so out of character he couldn't help but feel confused.
He grabbed the notebook and just rolled his eyes before setting it back down, he grabbed his bag and walked out of the classroom wondering what even spurred on such a reaction from him. What made him lose it so suddenly? Maybe he realized how useless he was. Whatever the case it didn't bother him or weigh on his mind, why bother paying mind to such a useless person?

Izuku had found himself hiding in an empty unused classroom hyperventilating as the grotesque tapping continued on the windows, he was afraid as the tapping grew louder and louder until it was pounding on the windows. He was riddled with fear until suddenly it came to a halt, there was no more tapping or pounding. There was silence, but it was too quiet...He slowly got to his feet feeling his legs quiver like that of a baby deer but when he looked out the window there was nothing, no odd figure looking in at him, he just stood there staring blindly at where...something once was. What was it? It didn't even seem real, nobody else seemed to see it after all. Was he insane? No no surely not, he saw that thing and knew that it was there...right? He just stood there with his mind racing between thoughts when he felt a warm liquid settling into his hair and uniform. He reached his hand and placed it on the side of his head, he pulled his hand away slowly riddled with confusion.
His hand was coated in blood, why was there blood?! He screamed as he realized his right ear had gone completely silent, he held his ear as he realized blood was pouring from his ear making him scream out for help. He ran out of the room screaming for anyone to help him when he crashed into someone sending him to the ground, he looked up at the figure seeing his childhood friend. He panicked as he held his bleeding ear and silently begged for help, he had no idea if he'd help or just leave but to his surprise he ran to the teacher and got him some help.
As help came for him he couldn't help but feel his mind race brimming with questions, what the hell was that thing he saw? What was it?! Why did his ear suddenly start bleeding? His mind raced but it kept focusing on one thing. What was that thing he saw?

When he made it to the hospital and was asked what happened he couldn't explain what had happened to him, he had no idea how to explain what he saw no less why his hearing went out. In the end the doctors chalked it up to underlying issues with his ear that caused his ear drum to rupture, but he knew that wasn't what happened. He knew he saw something in class and he knew it had to do with what happened to him, he sat there listening to his mother's cries as she asked why he wasn't taking care of himself leading to this...he was taking care of himself, it was that...that thing that did this. What the hell was that thing?
What was it
What was it
What was it
What was it
What was it
What was it"Mom...what was that thing?"
