Katsuki yawned as he made his way to the beach waiting for All Might when he saw the degree of pure filth that was on the beach, he walked over and began to take some of the small chunks of trash off the the side. Inside it actually felt rather relaxing, inside his head he could hear his mother's voice. How she nagged him to keep his room clean because a filthy room reflected how someone felt, his room had been an absolute mess up until he spoke to All Might. Speaking to All Might and finally getting the reassurance he needed made him so happy inside, he didn't feel so alone anymore.
He had his father but now he had a mentor as well, it was so good to have the confidence in himself again. He continued to clean the beach up bit by bit before he saw fridges, car parts, metal scraps, just so much shit it was ridiculous. He growled a bit as he started to angrily tug on a large tire because holy shit it was heavy, "Filthy fucking dumbasses! Find a better place for your shit! Fucking dumbasses!"
Out of anger he activated his power sending the tire right back into the large pillar of garbage making a bigger mess...God damnit. He sighed as maybe sticking to the smaller stuff would be easier for now,
"Is that you Young Bakugo?"
"Yeah who else would it be!?"
"Haha good point young man, nobody really comes around here anymore."
He just stopped as he turned to All Might watching him slowly walking down the steps to the trash ridden beach, upon further thought why the fuck was he here? Was he just gonna do dumb fucking trash duty? Well whatever, if it was All Might telling him to do it so be it. He looked around the trashed beach and just sighed as he took off his shirt and began to clean up more and more.
It was gross, pretty damn gross but All Might was there encouraging him and it felt like he could do just about anything. He spent practically hours just hauling trash around the beach into piles before he collapsed to his knees with exhaustion, he panted as his body ached before hearing All Might laugh happily before helping pick him up.
"Well done Young Bakugo! I see now how truly determined you are to do good! It's very endearing to see a boy who's endured such difficulty be willing to push on and do good for the people."
"Just trying to be a little less shitty...its what my mom would've wanted anyways."
"Well its never too late to change Young Bakugo. I've always believed if you truly want you can make a proper change for yourself, I mean...I was once quirkless you know?"
He quickly got off his back and backed up as he looked over at All Might with wide eyes, he was quirkless? He just stood there with his mouth wide open in shock as he couldn't muster up any words,
"I was quirkless when my sensei met me, she saw me and said that my heart alone convinced her that I was worthy. Worthy of the quirk, One For All. It's a quirk that's been passed down generation to generation, only its users and a select few know the truth behind it. I wanted to ask if you would become the ninth wielder of this power, I trust you Young Katsuki Bakugo."
When he heard that he couldn't help but start tearing up, his idol truly trusted him. That reality weighed down on him like a ton of bricks, could he truly turn it all around? He had pushed Deku to madness and got his mother and Auntie Inko murdered, could he truly become a hero worthy of taking up a mantle of such importance? Soon the tears started falling as he just nodded and went to wiping away his own tears, he left with All Might and went to discuss more about what the details were for receiving the power.
