Wings of Fire Fanfiction: Story of Deathbringer and Glory

Chapter I - Glory

"I'll go and sort it out myself." Glory announced. "No you are not." Deathbringer stepped up. Glory sighed. "Deathbringer, I am the queen of the Rainwings and Nightwings, there is a serious fight in my rain forest and I am there queen, they are my subject. I have to go to them and sort things out." Glory said firmly. Deathbringer let out a frustrated sigh and a puff of smoke rose from his nostrils. "Fine, but I come with you." he said. Glory rolled her eyes. "Fine." she muttered and spread her wings. 

The fight was quite serious. It looked like Mudwings and Nightwings had gotten into a fight. 
"What is going on?" Glory said, trying her best to look like a queen, not like a 8 year old Rainwing. The Nightwings turned to her with relieved expressions. "These Nightwings was hunting in the Rainforest!! They were hunting SLOTHS." The other Nightwing nodded furiously. "I really don't get why you stupid dragons care about sloths that much. One of the Mudwings grumbled at Glory, glaring daggers at her. Deathbringer took a step forward. "That is no way to speak to the queen Mudwings." Deathbringer growled and Mudwings shrunk back a little. Deathbringer was scary when he really wanted to. Glory spread her right wing in front of Deathbringer. "You are in Rainforest kingdom territory which means you must respect our laws and ways of life." Glory said, looked at the Mudwings coldly. "And in my, our kingdom, Sloths are protected animals, and they are also a member of family to some dragons." she said. The Mudwings looked baffled. "Well..." one of them(probably the Bigwing) said. Looking a little shock. "Ahem... Let's go." he said and the Mudwings left. Glory let out a sigh of relief. 

"Good job out there Glory." Deathbringer said to Glory, his voice was warm the way that always made Glory's heart skip a few beats. "Thanks." Glory grumbled, at least she tried too, she stomped out clouds of light pink that kept creeping up her ruff and tips of her wings. But it looks like Deathbringer had spotted it. He raised an eyebrow at her and Glory scowled at him. He smirked. "Well, I better check with Nightwing patrols asking any signs of Mudwings." he said. Glory nodded but she was wondering, Deathbringer wasn't the type to leave her alone. She shrugged as Deathbringer flew away from the platform.
