Chapter IX - Glory

In the next queen meeting, she told the other queens the new king/bodyguard. She got a disapproving look from queen Coral. Glory met her eyes and said. "I also made him king, not just because I love him, but Rainwings and Nightwings can be more united if they have king for a Nightwing, and when a egg is born, it will be hybrid, if the egg is a 'she' she will be the next queen, and it will make our kingdom even more united." she said, lifting her chin. The queens nodded. "That makes sense." Thorn said, smiling warmly at her. Glory glanced at Deathrbinger and he smiled warmly at her. Glory smiled and looked at queen Coral, she was nodding too.

Glory let out a relieved breath that she didn't know she was holding.

After the meeting was over and Glory and Deathbringer was flying home, Deathbringer bonked her on the side and smiled at her. "That was very clever of you." and said in a very bad mimic of her voice "I also made him king not just because I love him, but Rainwings and Nightwings can be more united if they have a king for a Nightwing." he said and smirked at her. 
Glory wrinkled her nose at him playfully. "I do not sound that high." she said. Deathbringer raised an eyebrow. "Yes, you do sound that high." he said. Glory rolled her eyes and the two continued to fly to their kingdom.
