Juliet’s POV.

I let out a sigh. Ryan followed quickly behind me, muttering to himself. I put my hand on the doorknob of my room and opened it. Nobody was in yet. I told Ryan to get in quickly and I shut the door behind me. “This is what your room looks like? Why so many beds?” Ryan asked. “I share this room with four other people and Chasity.” I said simply. “Chasity’s here, too? How? I was looking for her!” I nodded. “She got here the same way you did. And let me just warn you, you might want to leave before my roommates get here because—“   I was cut off when the door opened. In walked Adrienne, Chasity, Jonas, Harley, and last but not least, Alec. “Ryan!” Chasity gasped. He smiled. “I thought that was you I saw!” They hugged for about five minutes, and Alec was still standing near the door, his mouth wide opened. “Uhh, this is Ryan. He’s my boyfriend and my best friend.” I said proudly. Adrienne giggled, running over and plopping on Ryan’s lap. He laughed, and Alec scolded her to get off of him. Harley gave Ryan one of those weird man hugs and Jonas just waved. Alec shook his hand. “Nice to meet you.” He strained a smile. I frowned, having a gut feeling that something was going to go really wrong.

Noah’s POV.

“Dude, where does your mom live? In-The-Middle-Of-Nowhere-Town?” Zac said, laughing at his own joke. “Not Brooklyn’s mom. She’s my adoptive mother. My real mother lives a few towns over.” I said calmly, ignoring his joking. “Why doesn’t she live in town?” He asked. “Too dangerous. For her, my dad, for my whole family from their side.”  Zac looked confused. “Why?” He asked. “My whole family are wolves. Pureblood wolves, shape shifters. Understand?” I groaned, getting cut off by the asshole in front of me. “Oh.” Zac said, shutting up.

About two hours later we arrived at the house on the hill. I smiled at Juliet’s nickname for it. I parked the car, jumping out quickly. “Hurry.” I screamed at Zac, running up the hill. Out of the corner of my eye, I could see wolves keeping their distance from the house. Zac was quickly at my side, and when I reached the front door, I pushed it open. “Nemo!” Johnny called out. He was at the table, eating a sandwich. My father was next to him, and when he saw me, he smiled. “Johnny, dad!” I grabbed Johnny, lifting him for a huge hug. Zac stood awkwardly at the door. “Come in.” My father said to him. Zac closed the door, walking further into the cabin-like home. “Zac, this is my real father, and this is my little brother.” I grinned, holding Johnny out to him. Zac laughed, and said, “Hello sir,” to my father. I rolled my eyes. “She’s in the basement.” My father said. I nodded, pushing Zac near the basement stairs. He went down, and I followed quickly. My mother was near the huge table in the middle of the basement, a bunch of men surrounding the table also-- my family. Their heads turned toward Zac and I, and my mother grinned. “Noah, you’re getting so big!” She squealed, tackling me for a hug. I laughed hugging her back. “I love you, mom.” I whispered. “This is Zac. One of my close friends in Vancouver.” I nodded my head toward him. “Oh, you’re very handsome! “ She shook Zac’s hand, and froze. He started shaking. “Noah, Zac’s a wolf. “Why didn’t you tell me you were bringing another wolf?” Then, my family growled, turning to Zac with death glares. “No, ma! He’s not pureblood.” My mom and all the people behind her calmed down. Zac looked scared. My cousins and uncles were pretty huge. Their muscles could be seen through their shirts, and they were tough, and could probably take Zac down quickly. Then again, I wasn’t aware of what they were capable of, the fact being that I’ve only been together with all my family only once. “Okay, we need to get to business.” My mother said, clapping her hands, dragging Zac and I to the table. “There’s been some disappearances in town.” My cousin, Michael began. “Both Zac and I are very aware of that.” I said, frowning. “Yeah. So far, it’s only been three that I know of,” Zac added. “Juliet Hope, Ryan Valentine, and Chasity Hope.” My mother nodded. “Believe it or not, we’re all next.” My aunt Maria chimed in. “Why?” I asked, confused. “Our power. Our control. Our pack,” My dad said, coming down the steps. “They want to break us, crush us. Take over this town, own it.” My mother said.  “But—“ I mumbled. “Jordy’s pack is going to try and get us.” An uncle shouted out. Jordy was the leader of a pack who also resided in this town. Zac looked confused. “Jordy owns one of the most powerful wolf packs in town. About one hundred years ago, our ancestors allied with them. They betrayed us, and ever since then, we’ve been rivals. Those bastards.” My mother said. “Those are the wolves who are circling the house?” I asked. “They’re outside?” The people gasped. I nodded slowly. About four of five men made their way upstairs. “Do any of you know a man named Markus?” my mother asked. Zac and I exchanged glances, but then nodded. “We think he’s up to this. How do you guys know him?” I sighed. “He tried to kill us. Remember the necklace, ma?” I asked. She gasped. “Oh lord, does Juliet still have it?” She groaned. “I think so. I don’t know.” I said, shrugging. Just then, there was screaming and one of the men came back down. “They’re gone! Robert, Jackson, and Ashton!” He shouted. Half of the pack ran up the stairs. “Dragomir,” My dad screamed, running up the stairs. “Dragomir? Who’s that?” I asked. “He’s working with Markus and he’s allied with Jordy.  He’s the one taking the people into another world; another dimension. Every person with powers in this town, in this world, is going to be executed!” A young girl said, standing up. She looked about sixteen, and had almond shaped blue eyes. They were filled with terror. “Mom, what is she talking about?” I said, turning to my mother. “She’s correct. Markus is taking every single person in this town that has powers. There’s at least seven men who’s helping Markus, and all eight of them are working for someone bigger. Someone who knows how this game goes. He’s going to eliminate all of us, and he’s going to take over. He’s stealing all of our powers.” My mother whispered. “Oh no,” I mumbled. That means… “Oh God, he’s going to get the rest of us!” I shouted. Zac caught on quickly. “We can’t let them win, man.” My mother nodded. “He’s right. All of us,” My mother pointed around the room. “We’re powerless without you eight. You eight are powerless without us. If we come together, we can stop everything. You can’t let them get the other six. Who’s left?” My mother asked. “Jeimy, Helena and Hayden, Me, Zac, Anastasia, and that’s it. We… we can’t afford to lose anybody else.” I started. “Oh, but we can.” My grandfather said, standing in the corner. “Don’t you understand Noah?” He asked. I shook my head. “Think wisely. You must be ahead of them at all times. You can never fall back a step; as soon as we do, we’re done. We’d fail. We could not save any of those kids in the other world if they’re all there and we’re all here. The key is to let them take us. If they take us, Noah, we’ll all be reunited, still don’t understand?” My grandfather said. I was understanding. “If we’re all together, that’s when the war starts. That’s when it rains; and when it rains, it pours. It’s going to be a bloody war, and thousands of lives will be lost indeed, but it’s the only way to stop Markus and the crew. If we’re together, we can do this.” He finished. “Oh my God, he’s right.” Zac said out loud. I looked at him. “He’s definitely right. It’s just like your mother said, without each other, we’re powerless. Together though, we could take over the world. That’s it!” He shouted, grinning. “He’s very wise.” My grandfather whispered to my mother, and she nodded. “Wait, wait! But, it doesn’t make sense in my head. Why would they try to take us to the new dimension if they knew that if we were all together, we’d ultimately take them down?” An arm went around my shoulder. “They don’t know that.” Zac said, smirking at me. Cheering went through the room, and the pack was ready for whatever was thrown at them.
