In another world; ch 20
"What the hell were you three thinking?" I said, screaming at Noah, Ryan, and Zac, who all stood before me. "You could have hurt yourselves!" I sighed. "All I heard was, womp, womp, womp. Quit bitching." Noah said, rolling his eyes. "Don't be such a fucking jerk!" I said stomping over to him, trying to swing at him. He laughed, lifting me up off my feet. "Let me down!" He nodded, then dropped me to the ground. Before I fell, his hands were lifted, and he gently lead me down to the ground, landing on my feet. I was dazed.. and afraid of heights. "Thank you." I said simply. "You know these guys?" Noah said, jerking his head to both Zac and Ryan. "Why, yes I do! My best guy friends actually." I said, pulling them closer. Ryan smiled, and Zac had a confused expression. "This," I said, pointing to Noah. "Is Noah. I know him because, well.."
"Our parents are dating, right, soon to be sister?" He said, wrapping our hands together. "Er," I started. "Yeah.." I said, looking down rubbing my arm. "But, I thought your mom-" Zac started. "My mom died. A while ago." I said, looking at him. "I thought your parents were divorced." I shook my head violently. "She died. When Julie was 7." I looked over to the voice. I saw Ryan, looking back down at me. He hasn't called me 'Julie' in years. It was always a nickname he got from my father for me, but when my father called me Julie, he was usually mad, or needed to tell me something serious. 'Julie, your mother was in a car crash.' I remember him saying. I didn't believe him, as if it was a sick joke. But day after day, I waited for her. She never, ever came back.
"Yeah. Can we go now?" I said, feeling awkward. I started walking back toward the car. "Wait," I said, stopping dead in my tracks. "How did you do all of that, back there?" I said, obviously talking to Noah. He shrugged. "All I know is, it was painful at first. Learning all those things, it just came to me one day. I got really sick for almost 2 weeks from it, though." I thought about it. "But, you put together everything we could do. Shape shifting, throwing fire, inhuman speed, and that weird lifting thing. Like, taking over gravity." Ryan said slowly, not sure how everyone was going to react. "Yeah. I noticed, smart one." Noah said. "But, none of us can control gravity." Zac said, thinking out loud. "Can you heal?" I blurted out. "No." He said simply. Must just be something special Anastasia could do. "Yeah, we can't control gravity." I said exactly what Zac said. "You saw that girl? That came this way? She can control gravity. I ran into her, about 2 days ago. She's hot." All three guys nodded. "You guys are tools." I said, putting my hands on my hips. They all started laughing. "Jealous one, eh? She must be your girl." Noah said, elbowing Ryan. Ryan shook his head. "No, she's not my girlfriend." He stared down at the ground. "Yeah, but all of us see the way you look at her. I mean, really, you can't deny it, we all can see you love-" Ryan interrupted him. "Shut the hell up." He said, through clenched teeth. "Dude, chill. Not my fault she probably doesn't like you." Noah muttered the last part. "Shut up!" I screamed, raising my hands to him. He backed away, and then I kept walking. Noah muttered something, but I ignored it. Ryan appeared at my side, his face red. I kept walking, going to my car. "You need a ride home?" I asked Ryan. "No, I can walk, it's not a big deal." I smirked at him. "Get in the car." He grinned, jumping in the passenger's seat. "Zac, how are you getting home?" I said. "Take me?" He said, pouting. I smiled. "Jump in." He cheered like a little kid, jumping into the back seats. Noah was already gone.
"Okay, so what are we gonna do today?" I asked, looking over at Ryan. Zac was already home, and the car was parked. "Maybe a movie?" Ryan said, now looking at me. "Maybe," I said, smiling to myself. We were in front of my house. "I'll be right back, gonna go get some things. Where are we camping out?" I asked him. "My parents aren't home." Ryan said, simply. "My dad and his new girlfriend are." I said, with a huge sigh. "My place?" He said, looking at me. I nodded. "Your place." He grinned.
I packed a pair of pajamas in a bag, because when I usually go to Ryan's house, I end up staying the night. I smiled, throwing a pair of shorts into my bag. I threw in a shirt, and a pair of socks. I yawned, picking up a few movies on the way out. "Where are you going?" Someone said from behind me. I looked up, seeing Chasity staring down at me. "What do you want?" I asked her. "I asked the first question, you answer it." I shook my head. "Go to hell." I muttered, brushing past her. "I'm sorry. About it all. Man, we're sisters. I'm tired of us fighting all the time." She said, rubbing her forehead. I pointed to my cheek, that was still bruised. "You should have thought about that before smacking me in the face." Chasity sighed, saying, "It wasn't on purpose. I got.. mad." I couldn't believe her. "And you took it out on me? Bullshit," I said. "Move." She moved out the way, and I walked past her. I quietly walked back outside, hopping into my car and tossing the bag in the back. "Can I drive?" Ryan asked me. I shook my head, giggling. "Do I have to force you in the passenger's seat?" He said, smirking at me. "I dare you." I said simply. Before I knew it, we switched spots. He was now driving. "Damn you and your speed." He chuckled, driving off to wherever.
I jumped out the car, grabbing my bags. I yawned, feeling tired, even though we just got to Ryan's house. "I'll hold your bags." He said, taking my bags gently from my hands. "I'm tired," I said, leaning my head on his shoulder. He chuckled, his arm going around my waist. He steadied me, walking me to his door. He easily opened the door, and I took my bags from him, going upstairs. I ran into his room, stripping out of my clothes, throwing on my blue pajama shorts and green tank top. I quickly put my boots back on, and Ryan came through the door. "You really must be tired," He said, chuckling. I nodded, yawning. "Hungry?" He asked, and I nodded, my stomach growling. "When was the last time you ate?" I put up my fingers, indicating 4 days. "You've gotta start eating again." He said, running his hand through his hair. I nodded, curling up into a ball on the floor. He walked over to me, lifting me up. I yawned again, while he gently placed me on the bed. He grabbed his phone, ordering pizza. "The usual?" He asked me. "The usual," I repeated back to him, smiling.
"Well," Ryan began. "That was boring." He tapped his hands on his legs. "I agree. Lets watch something scary?" I asked. We were sitting in front of his TV in his room. His room was basically the same size as mine, but a bit bigger. He nodded, slipping in another movie.
Halfway through the movie, I was already terrified. "You said you wanted to watch a scary movie.." He said, shaking his head and chuckling. I was shivering, slowly moving myself closer to Ryan. Something scary popped onto the screen, and I threw myself at him, screaming. "Shh, Just relax. It's a movie. I'll turn it off, if it's bothering you that much." I slowly started to raise my head, looking up at Ryan. Our eyes connected within seconds, and his eyes shifted to my lips. I kept looking at him; it was impossible to look away from his gaze. His black sexy yet messy hair, falling perfectly over his face. His toned body, warm. His chest was shaped perfectly. He was shirtless, and I was pretty used to it by now. His chest was moving up and down, and I stared intently at the rest of his body. Slowly, we both moved closer, and I didn't notice it until I was face to face with him. Feelings I couldn't control. I wanted him, yet at the same time, I didn't. He smelled incredible, making me inhale his whole scent, which I memorized by now. His forehead pressed against mine, and he was breathing quietly. "Do you want me to?" He whispered, eyes locked with mine. Even though he spoke 5 simple words, I knew exactly what he meant. I bit my lip, and nodded. His face slowly moved closer to mine, and he pressed his lips gently on mine. I slung my hands around his neck, bringing him closer to me. Why did he have this effect on me? He made me feel safe, like I could do anything in the world around him. I felt unstoppable, powerful. He knew how to make me smile, and we both know I can't stay mad at him for long, it's too hard. He rubbed his hands up and down my back, relaxing me. We were just simply kissing, nothing more, nothing less. His lips rested on mine, until I began to nibble on his bottom lip. He smiled against my lips, lifting me on top of him, my legs wrapping around his waist. I playfully pushed him back to the ground, lowering my face to his once more. He smiled up at me, and I grinned back down. I put my hands on both sides of his cheeks, crashing my lips to his once more. It surprised him, but he caught on quickly. He forced my lips opened, sliding his tongue into my mouth. I gasped in surprise, this being the first time he's ever done this. We've kissed before, but it had never gone this far. Our tongues danced in sync, us kissing each other as if our lives depended on it. I kissed him once more time, rubbing my hands up and down on his chest. His hand around my waist tightened, pulling me even closer. He then flipped us over, and he was on top of me. He kissed me again, and I wrapped my legs around his waist, pulling him closer, to the point where I felt his manhood against my thigh. I wasn't going to take it too far, we weren't going to have sex, or do something crazy like that.
I kissed Ryan once more, and he slowly got off me. He gave me his hand, lifting me up. "Well.." He said, his hand still wrapped in mine. His lips were red, and mine probably were too. He smiled at me, and I smiled back. "Come on," He nodded towards the bed. "You should probably get some sleep." I nodded, climbing into the bed, yawning once more.
