In another world; ch 13

"I'm going to tell you the truth," Ryan started. "I have, no idea how the hell I'm fast." My mouth was wide open. "What?" He said, looking irritated. "Super speed," I muttered, throwing the book to him. He quickly scanned through it. "That," I whispered. "That's how Anastasia healed you." I tried looking surprised, even though I knew about it already. "You're right." He started. "But, I don't believe I have some kind of power. It's just her." I shook my head violently. "I can do something, too." He looked surprised for a minute. "Really?" Ryan answered. I nodded, taking his hand, pulling him out the room with me. We ran all the way down to the kitchen, and I guess Chasity left. "Watch, carefully. You see, I'm not touching the stove?" He nodded, and I breathed in and out. "Concentrate," I said to myself. I was waiting, but it wouldn't happen. I opened my eyes, I didn't hear anything. "What the hell?" I said, smacking my hands. I started moving them back and forth, getting mad. I aimed once more at the stove, and, bang. There was a fie starting on the stove. I reached over, and sprayed the fire extinguisher over the stove. I looked up at Ryan, and he looked scared. "How in the hell did you-" I interrupted him. "I don't know. All I know is that it's you, Anastasia, and I. There's five more." Now, Ryan looked interested. "Five more? What do you think they could do?" I shrugged. "It's probably even dangerous than what I could do." I sat on the counter, and sighed. I took the book out of Ryan's hands. Something was missing, one of the most important parts. I flipped through the pages once more, catching something weird. It was a page that was torn in pieces that were black. Letters were written in white, and I hopped off the counter, arranging the pieces on the counter where I had just been sitting. "Wolves..Wolves." I kept repeating until the page was perfectly arranged. i read the piercing words out loud.

"Although all the children born from Azalea were perfect heroes, all heroes need villains. It has not been confirmed, and is currently counted as a myth. Born from the depths of fire, came a baby who's name is unknown. During this child's childhood, his father taught him how to hunt- For humans. This baby grew up, to be a dangerous wolf, who lives in the woods of Vancouver. Many have spotted this creature, yet, none have been able to tell their friends and family, for it was too late for them to escape from this beast." I breathed in, and out. "We need to find about these wolves." I said, and the both of us started running in a sprint, Ryan running at normal speed. "We need to go get Anastasia! Just in case!" I screamed while hopping into the car. I tried putting the key in the ignition, fumbling a few times. "Shit!" I yelled, and finally jammed the key in, Ryan leaning over on me putting on my seatbelt. I gripped the steering wheel, vrooming out the driveway, and toward the school.

"Okay, where are we going?" Anastasia asked as she got into the car. "The woods. Deep in the woods." I said. It was getting dark. I pulled around the school, in the back parking lot. I jumped out of the car, slamming the door, with Ryan next to me now. Anastasia looked worried. "Let's go," I said, dashing towards the woods, hearing low and high howls.

"Ah!" I screamed, aiming my hands toward a pack of wolves. They stared at me viciously, prancing as if they were about to attack. "You guys. go back to the car. Drive off if you have to. This was a stupid idea; for even trying to come." I panted. "Juliet, I'm not leaving you here." Ryan said quickly, standing next to me. I didn't take my eyes off the HUGE wolf standing in front of at least 6 little ones. "Look, just GO!" I screamed, pushing him away. "Don't get yourself killed for trying to help me, they're gonna hurt you if you don't go now!" I screamed at him again. "Put her on your back, and run." I whispered. "Juliet.." Ryan whispered, coming close to me again. "I'll be okay." I said, smiling up at him. I was scared. Terrified. Exhausted. Ryan placed his hands on my shoulders. "Kill them." He muttered, and kissed my forehead. "You need to come with us," Anastasia yelled. I shook my head. "No, I can't. Just go Anastasia. For me." I whispered the last part. She nodded, and climbed onto Ryan's back. She wasn't heavy or anything, she was basically my weight. I sighed, facing the wolves again. I turned back, and Ryan was gone. "So," I started. "You guys must be the wolves?" Human, one said in it's head. I could hear their thoughts. Kill human.

I remembered how I got the fire to work last time. I was angry. That was it. I needed to be angry to control the fire. Get human, another wolf said. "Yeah," I said, lifting my hands in the air. "Come and get me, you bastards."

I walked home. I hadn't gotten hurt. Just a few scratches, and my hand was bleeding. All I had to do was aim my fire at one of the wolves, and they started running away. I knew that this wasn't the end. I looked up to the sky. "This," I said, pointing to my palm. "This is just the beginning. I quickly walked, hearing footsteps behind me. I sighed, but I didn't turn around. I didn't dare. I walked quicker, and noticed my house in the distance. Someone grabbed my hand from behind. "Wait, I need your help." I turned around, to see Zac. Zac Frost, needs my help? This MUST be good. "What? Why won't you stop bugging me?" I asked , yanking my hand out of his. "I know what you can do." I looked around. "Excuse me? I'd ought to smack you! What the hell are you talking about?" He looked taken back a little. "The fire. I saw with my eyes." I looked at him. "Liar!" I took off in a dash, and he pushed me, straight to the concrete. "Fuck you!" I screamed, smacking him across the face, and he tried getting me off him. he lifted me slightly, my feet off the ground. I looked down, and started flailing. "Let me down, let me down!" He howled in laughter, and I kept squirming in his hands. "I hate you!" I screamed, people now looking at us, even though it's night time. "Let me down Zac Frost, I swear I'll claw your face in!" He immediately dropped me, and I frowned. "What do you want?" I asked. He sighed, and started talking.

"Juliet!" Ryan said, running up to me as I walked in the house. My daddy, Anastasia, and Chasity were sitting on the couch. "Hey." I muttered. "I thought something happened to you! Like you got lost," He winked. "Or something!" He hugged me, and Anastasia saw me. She got up quickly, hugging me also. "Come on." I told the both of them, and all three of us ran upstairs. "Okay, what happened?" Ryan said and closed the door. "Are you hurt?" He asked, walking over to me, checking for any signs of damage. "Just my hand, fool." I said, giggling, and showed him my palm. There was now a deep gash in the middle of it. "Does it hurt?" He asked. "Of course it hurts, but its not that bad." I said simply. "Oh, Juliet." He said, hugging me. I looked at Anastasia in the corner. She grinned back at me. "He wouldn't stop talking about you. That kid's crazy for you." I giggled. "Shh!" He said, turning around, smiling. We all laughed, and I hugged Ryan.

All three of us were knocked out, sleeping. Anastasia was sprawled across my bed, and I was sleeping in front of Ryan. His arm was wrapped around my waist, and I liked the feeling, of knowing he was there. He kept me warm, and I felt protected. "Hey," He leaned down, whispering in my ear. "I gotta go." I leaned up, looking at the time. I rubbed my eyes, and yawned. It was 4 'o clock in the morning. "Let me drive you home." I said, simply. He smiled, and got up, and so did I. He was wearing a black shirt, and his hair was a bit messy, but still nice. I on the other hand, probably looked like a mess. I walked over to the closet, throwing on a gray hoodie. I looked down at my pants. I was wearing jeans, that would do. I slipped my phone into my pocket, and yawned again. "Let's go." I said, and we walked quietly downstairs. I jumped into the car, and so did Ryan. We drove in a peaceful silence.

Moments later, we were parked outside of Ryan's house. "I'll see you later?" He asked. I nodded, smiling at him. Then, he moved closer. I bit my lip. Don't do it, don't do it. I said over and over, in my head. He can't be doing it. Just do it already, I said to myself. Before his lips would touch mine, I jerked my head to the other side. "Oh.." he whispered quietly, and then opened the car door, jumping out. "I'll see you later." He said, with his head down, walking to the door. I quickly jumped out behind him, running after him. I whipped him around, and bought his lips down to mine. At first he was confused, but then he hugged me. He smiled down at me, and I smiled up at him. I hugged him, and went back into my car. He smiled, and waved. I smiled back, driving off.
