The Kingdom of Minuta

Four years later after the Sunrise sank, a baby girl was born. Not just any girl, a princess with hair blonde as sunshine, her eyes the color of fresh violets, and her skin was the golden sands of time. Violet eyes were very rare for people and this baby was the only one in the kingdom to have them. People claimed that she was the "Chosen One" or that she would save the kingdom one day. However, no one believed that it was true. Her parents named her Jules Marie Nicomia Wakefield. This is her story and let it be known.

18 years later:

"Jules, wake up honey," the Queen replied. Fluttering her eyes open, Jules looked up to see her mother's face looking down at her. Her mother was the Queen of Minuta and she was known as Queen Maribella. She had dark brown hair, blue eyes that were as bright as the sea, and had faint wrinkles around her lips. Maribella was married to the King of Minuta, King Charles. He was a broad man with tan skin and sandy brown hair. He was a man who loved to explore the wilderness. Over time, he started to develop a beard, not a big, bushy long one, but a slick beard fit for a king. They were a happy couple and when they had Jules, their hearts were lifted and they rejoiced. Today was her birthday and the couple had a surprise.

Jules arose from her circular queen sized mattress that was covered in turquoise and golden yellow sheets. Her room was usually covered with romantic novels and dresses. Maribella pulled a few pieces of hair from Jules' lips. The half-awake maiden pulled out her smile and rubbed her violet eyes. She looked over to her mother and asked, "What time is it?"

"It is eight o'clock in the morning, Ju-ju-bear."

"Mom, I thought we agreed that you aren't allowed to say that name."

"Sorry, sweets."

Jules looked at her mom with a huge grin. Maribella looked at her daughter and yanked her daughter out of bed. Jules stumbled over her book, The Queen of Arabia, while her mom pulled her to her closet. Jules was released from Maribella's grasp while the Queen replied with a question in her voice, "Where do you get all these books? It is getting rather hectic here! I only get three of them for you every year on your birthday."

"I got them from a boy."

"Where and from whom?"

Jules pleaded, "Please don't hang him for this or put him in the cells! It is the stable boy that tends the warhorses! He is the brown haired boy with green eyes." Folding her arms, Maribella started to giggle. Jules started to giggle too. Soon they were both laughing so hard that they were crying. Charles rushed into the room with his robe over his long johns. He replied quickly, "What is going on? Has someone died?" Jules and Maribella started to laugh even harder. Charles then started to chuckle. Maribella straightened her dress and grabbed a tissue. Dabbing her eyes with it, Maribella composed herself. She replied, "Jules we have a surprise for you in your closet." Jules arose from a cushioned chair and glided over to her closet. Grabbing the handles of her 12 foot doors, opened it up, and gasped. "Where did you get this? I have always wanted this dress! How did you know that this is the dress I have always wanted!"

Jules pulled it out of her closest with an awe look. It was a slim ballroom dress that was the color of teal. It had slim sleeves with fringe at the end, a white faint layer over the teal, and it wasn't those big dresses, but a comfortable dress to dance around in. As Jules twirled around with it clutched in her arms, Charles waved his hand towards a black haired maid who had a very faint tan. She bowed her head and scurried off to receive the gift. "Grhmpf," Charles coughed while he casted his eyes down to a romantic novel. Maribella glanced over and saw Charles grow a smile on his face. "Jules," Maribella proclaimed. "Your father has something for you." Jules looked up from her new dress. Charles turned around, grabbed a colorful box, and gave it to his daughter.
