Nick paced back and forth in front of the royal family. Looking out the window of the king's office, he saw clouds form rain. He looked over at Zankari who lay helpless and bleeding. Laying next to him was The Dragon's Mithril Sabre Sword, Jules' sword. Touching it, Jules tried to fling herself for him, but made Maribella and herself fall to the floor. Nick rolled his eyes and pushed them back up. Walking over to Zankari, he touched his broken jaw. Zankari rolled onto his side and groaned. Nick looked over at Jules while he whipped the brown back of Zankari. Tears rolled down her face and whipped her hair back and forth. Maribella murmured into her fabric that covered her mouth. A stout man walked over and smacked Maribella across the head. Nick smirked, "Well this is a huge threat to see the royal family in my command." Floating across the room, he grabbed Jules' cheeks. The cloth dropped from her mouth. "What the heck are you doing Nick?! I used to like you, but now you are some jerk that doesn't deserve a life," Jules spat out. Looking into her eyes, he leaned in and pecked her lips. "You know I would have done more than that," Nick chuckled.

Jules turned her head away. Maribella rubbed her head on Jules' neck. Nick looked at her. Walking over to a striped-shirt male, he whispered something into his ear. Nodding his head, he picked up the limp body of Zankari and walked away. Jules eyes were frantic with confusion and looked over at Nick. Nick had something in his hand and smacked her with a brown piece of wood.

Opening her eyes, she was somewhere else. There was light and something on top of her. Rolling over, she rubbed her head and realized where she was. She lifted her head from the pillows. Pain scorched through her skull. She groaned, but pushed through the pain. Flinging the sheets off of her body, she stumbled to the door. Grabbing the handle with both of her smooth, soft hands, she pulled and pushed with her might. "Why won't you open? Please," Jules cried. Pulling away from the door, she looked around her room. She didn't know what to do, but weep.

Crying in the palms of her hands, she wailed, "Why didn't I just stick to my answer! None of this would have happened if it wasn't for me! I am so stupid for my family, for my friend Sarah, who might be dead, the stable boy who gave me the world, and my kingdom. I am a failure for the country!" Lifting her head, she looked at her outfit. Groaning at her clothes she walked over to her dresser. Jules looked at her clothes and realized that all she had was dresses. Sighing, she walked over to her mirror. She lifted up her hairbrush and took out the once-was-braid. Brushing out her hair, she saw a pair of scissors. Grabbing her ribbon and leaving her hair out long with the ribbon keeping back the fly aways, she grabbed the scissors, string, and a needle.

She looked at her dresses, but couldn't find the one she got for her birthday. While she searched, she hummed "Lavender's Blue."

..................

"Awha! Finally found it," Jules proclaimed. Lifting it high up so she can see herself with it in the mirror. The dress was a light blue with golden tie around the waist. This dress was for exploring the deck and dancing around in. It was also very special to her because it was from her father. Well, that won't happen for a very long time. she thought. She took off her nightdress and changed her underclothes. Putting on the dress, she heard the lock outside her door open. Frantically searching for a weapon, she finished tying the bottom of the ribbon on her dress. Jules looked over at the scissors on the bed near the fabric.

Diving onto the bed, she grabbed the scissors and went underneath the bed. In came Nick with no weapons on him and he was in his suit made of wool. "Jules. Are you going to come out? Are you going to forgive me because I forgive you? Won't you give your good-old friend a kiss," Nick chirpily sang. Walking over to the bed, she heard him climb onto the bed and heard the sheets start to get pulled off. Jules immediately took off running and slammed the door shut. Knowing that the keys were no use for Nick, but would've been nice for her to use, she crammed the scissors into the lock.
