Sorry I haven't updated in a while, I've been really busy. I accidentally deleted this entire chapter, so I have to redo it. Hope you enjoy!

...

It was Monday evening and Tommy was exhausted from the day. He was getting ready for bed and was staring at himself in the mirror.

It was the week after spring break and the group of "cool kids" had picked on him again.

He had a headache, his ribs hurt from being kicked, and his wings were sore. They were always sore from being strapped to his back, but they hurt even more because he had fallen and landed on them hard.

He was staring at himself in the mirror while thinking about his day. He was mostly thinking about what the bullies had said to him.

They had always called him stuff and he was used to it by now. Or that's what he keeps on telling himself.

Some of the kids would call him ugly, but that didn't affect him. The one thing that they did say that affect him was, he was worthless because he had no powers and that's why he has no parents.

That one really hurt.

He had been told by Ms. Smith that his grandparents had left him on their doorstep with a letter. The letter had told him that him grandparents couldn't take care of him anymore, that his name was Tommy, and he had no powers.

He had no wings as a baby, so the orphanage had no idea that he was an avian. Avian wings grow in at the age of ten, and that was a painful experience.

So when people tell him that his parents never wanted him, it hurts, but they don't know what happened to them.

He is almost at his breaking point. Just a few more comments and he'll snap.

Tommy haden't realized that had been staring at himself for almost twenty minutes.

He finished getting ready for bed and as he laid down, he passed out immediately

...

It was the next morning, and Tommy was getting dressed when he heard a loud pound on his door. He then heard the muffled yell of Ms. Smith. "Breakfast is done, be down be downstairs soon or I will give your food to someone else!"

After getting dressed, he rushed down to eat his favorite breakfast meal.

Gray slop.

When he was finished eating, Tommy was taken to the entrance of the orphanage. There, he saw a man in a white and green bucket hat. It was Phil. Surrounding Phil was two teenagers. One was really tall with brown fluffy hair, brown eyes, a beanie in his hair, and a yellow sweater on. The other teenager was a bit shorter than the other one, but was still really tall. He had long pink hair, a fancy white shirt on, and looked very strong.

Tommy guessed that these were Phil's sons.

Tommy looked back at Phil. The man had a soft, welcoming smile on his face.

Ms. Smith brought him over to Phil. "Mr. Minecraft will be fostering you for a month."

Tommy looked at her and nodded.

She then whispered in his ear. " You better behave. If you come back before the month is over, you will be punished."

He felt a shiver go down his spine. He had been punished before, and it wasn't fun.

Ms. Smith then pushed him towards Phil and his family.

"Hey Tommy." Phil greeted, then saw that Tommy looked a little bit scared.  "Are you okay?"

Tommy swallowed and nodded his head, "I'm alright, I'm a big man." He put on a fake smile.

Phil nodded, "These are my sons, Wilbur" he gestured towards the brunette, "and Techno" he pointed to the other boy.

"So this is the child you were talking about, Phil" Wilbur said.

"I'm not a child." Tommy glared at Wilbur. "And, did Phil talk about me?"

"Not that mu-"

"All the time" Techno cut in. "He wouldn't stop talking about how adorable you were."

Tommy felt his ears go red.

"Well, anyways," Phil glared at his sons, "you should go get your stuff"

Tommy nodded. He ran up to his room and grabbed his bag. He stuffed some clothes and other stuff from his room that he had an attachment to. When he was done, he raced downstairs to the group of three, and headed off to Phil's car.
His car was a gray mini van that was a little bit dirty. There were many dents on the outside.

He sat in one of the seats next to Wilbur.

As Phil drove home, Tommy felt his eyelids grow heavy.

He then fell asleep listening to Wilbur ramble about how much he hated anteaters.

He hope this family would last.
