Castle Byers

"Hey Will!" the boy who was running up to him had called. His curly hair bouncing, though it was very uncharming. Even if it was Will's ex-best friend as well his crush. He hated it when his hair bounced, it looked so weird.

"Yeah, you need something," the short boy with a bowl cut spoke. He was heading home, it was late at night and most of the party headed home.

That night everyone in the party visited Max, one of their friends, who was in the hospital. She was possessed by something that was killing people, she ended up being a victim. She had recently woke up from a coma from an accident braking her arms and legs. Everyone left, but Will, Mike, and Lucas. Dustin went home to help his mother. While El headed home early to spend time with Hopper since he just got back from Alaska less than a week ago.

"Ummm soo I.. was wondering, if you wanted to, meet me at Castle Byers, tomorrow, around noonish?" Mike the boy who Will seemed to not really talk to anymore wanted to hang out. This was weird to Will, he hadn't talked to Michael since the ride back to Hawkins from Utah, after the whole thing with El.

Will didn't know how to to respond to his old friend. They may not talk much and as much as the short boy wanted to hate the taller, his feelings had always made him feel the opposite of what he wanted. Though Will never really had anything go the way he had wanted things too, nothing really was right anymore since he was snatched by the demogorgan.

Will was snapped back to reality when the taller had waved his hand in front of the shorter face. He may have been short, but he was older. "Sooo?" The taller spoke shuffling from side to side on his feet. He seemed nervous, anxious at his own words.

The older seemed to come up with a response, "I guess," he was unsure himself if he should go or not. "Though that doesn't mean I will be there for sure," he quickly stated so he didn't get the younger ones hopes up. Though he seemed to smile, even if he knew the older might not show.

"Alright that's all I needed to know. I should get going now, bye Will," the younger ran off in the other direction. Will didn't even know if he could call Michael his friend anymore, he had hurt him a lot.

On the way home his thoughts were running on why he wanted to meet at old Castle Byers. It was torn down by Will himself, from the fight they had two summers ago. The thought of the fight alone made Wills stomach do twist and turns, while his head was spinning. The fight left him with a bad memory of the friendship they had going to waste, like it was some store bought bananas going bad two days after they were bought. During the fight Mike had said something that sticks to Will to the day. As if someone thought it was funny to super glue a penny to the middle of his forehead while he was sleeping. Mike had used Wills one insecurity straight to him. 'It's not my fault, you don't like girl!'

That one sentence played through his head on repeat every time he thought about Mike. The one he thought if he came out to would expect him, but he was wrong. His friendship had only gotten worse with Mike after that in California was when he knew everything was gone. Their friendship to Mike meant nothing, so why was Will still trying to hold on. He should have gave up on hope about at least manetanning a friendship after the fight, that fight, the first fight between the two boys.

By the time Wills thoughts had calm down he was home, or more likely at El's home. It felt wrong to Will to call Hoppers old cabin home.

Will walked up to the old oak door that had a few small cracks on it and gripped the door handle. Turning it to the right and pushing the door open. He was meant with his older brother running up to him wrapping his arms around him in a tight hug, as if he went off intoi war a returned home alive.
