Dear, Mike
It has been four months since we moved, and two since you stopped talking to me. I understand if the letters are getting lost and the mail, or maybe mine are. But if you are getting these and actually reading them, please respond to this one. Anyways how is everyone in Hawkins? It really quiet, or it feels almost dead here in Lenora. Maybe because me nor El have any friends, other than that it fine. How are Dustin and Lucas holding up, Max sends letter sometimes, she has called me a few. So I talk to her, not the others. Maybe for Spring Break you could maybe come here. We have less than three months until then, and I'm sure you'd want to see El. She really would love to see you. You talks about you 24/7. Anyways hope you're doing good, and tell Holly and Nancy and the party I said 'hi'.
From, Will.
Mike had finished reading the letter and placed it down. He wanted to write, to Will, but didn't know about what. He has asked some questions, so maybe he could respond to those, yea. He'll do that.
"Mike time for dinner!" Karen, his mom scream from down stairs.
"Coming!" He yelled back.
He got up from his bed and shuffled over to the door, opening it. Heading down stairs, he went to sit at the table.
They all started eating, small talk erupting here and there.
"Will says 'hi' to Holly and Nancy," Mike said when it was quiet.
"Hasn't Will said 'hi' to Holly practically every letter he sent you. I swear he misses her more than you," Nancy joked.
"Yea," Mike wasn't fully into reality.
"Are you going to respond this time?" Karen asked. "You haven't respond to any of his last few ones," she spoke stating a fact.
Mike knew that, maybe I will this time, he thought. "Yea," he muttered playing with his food.
When he was done he put his plate in the sink, and headed up to his room.
He pulled out a piece of paper, and a pencil, and began to write to Will.
Dear Will,
Everyone in Hawkins seems to be doing fine for the most part. Lucas started playing basketball and we haven't really talked much, every now in then I guess. Dustin seems to be happier you could say. He made a 1 or 2 new friends, ones name is Eddie. I'm friends with him too. I can ask my mom to see if I could go down there, though I don't really know for sure, it would be nice to see El and you. I miss you both very much. Holly says 'hi' back. She likes it when ever I tell her you said 'hi'. Yea sorry for not responding, I haven't really been able to know what I should respond with. I'm glad for the most part Lenora is good for you, though I do wish you could have stayed. I hope I can see you for break, and like reading your letters, I sometimes let Holly read them with me too. I hope you are doing well and can find some friends.
Lov-
Mike stopped, what was he thinking writing love at the end of the letter. He swiftly scribbled it out and rewrote,
Miss, Mike.
He put it in an envelope and shut it tight. He walked down the stairs, to see his Mom cleaning the dishes.
"Hey Mom, I have this letter for Will. Can you send it?"
"Yea' I'll take it tomorrow, honey, just put it on the counter," she said, not turning from the dishes.
Mike put the sealed envelope on the counter. It had the address on it, and Will's name in the center.
He then sprinted back up the stairs and to his room, closing the door behind him.
He felt weird while writing that letter to Will, maybe he just had a stomachache. He decided to sleep on it, and push it away. It was nothing real big, it was just an upset stomach. Nothing to worry about.
