Before you read this book please forget everything you remember from the first draft. I have stripped this story to its foundation and built it back up, slowly and meaningfully. These versions of Naya and Ember, are older, more mature and just a little more lost than they were before. Please be patient with them and approach their story with empathy as they navigate this life. They might make mistakes or do things you wouldn't agree with, but just like everyone else, they're allowed to fuck up. However, most importantly, take what resonates because if I can help you just a little, help you feel less alone or help you feel seen, then I have done my job as an author that I have set out to do.
