"Take the next left."
Lizzie swerves so fast to make the turn that the tires skid.
"Okay, maybe a little more heads up next time!"
She glares at Wade in the rear view mirror.
"Sorry..."
Josie rubs her temples, feeling even more carsick than she was before, "Please tell me we're getting close."
"Uh...yeahhh, pretty close..."
His tone is entirely unconvincing.
Josie takes a deep breath, grabbing onto the handle above her head for some stability as Lizzie continues to drive.
She tries to focus on anything other than her sister's bickering and reckless driving.
The most prominent thing to distract herself is the tingling feeling she still has from Hope's power coursing through her veins.
It's the most powerful magic she's ever felt.
She feels like she could collapse an entire building with the snap of her fingers.
The buzzing feeling reaches from her fingertips, up the entire lengths of her arms, up her spine.
It's euphoric.
"Josie!"
She finally snaps out of her thoughts, "Huh?"
"Did you hear anything I said? You can't be all dazed and high on magic when we go head to head with a werewolf...Especially since Hope didn't even care enough to help us."
She mutters her last sentence under her breath, but Josie hears her clearly.
Josie rolls her eyes, "I'm fine Lizzie, just carsick, that's all."
She can hear the lack of trust in her sister's voice. The lack of confidence in her abilities.
And though Josie isn't exactly the most confident person in the world, she thought her sister would be a little more encouraging, especially on their first mission, possibly their only mission according to their parents.
"I just hope this brilliant plan of hers works."
Josie sighs, trying to ignore her sister's comments.
Hope's smart. If she's sending them on this mission, there has to be a motive behind it.
Josie also knows that Hope would never let them get hurt.
She has to have a plan in place in case something goes wrong tonight. Josie knows it.
"Wait, take a right."
Lizzie furrows her eyebrows, "But that's literally the woods."
"Map says right."
Lizzie sees a small trail to the right and turns to drive down it, with MG and Kaleb following close behind them.
After a minute of driving through the trees, the trail ends, "Looks like we'll have to do the rest on foot."
They all get out of the car, seeing MG and Kaleb getting out of their car as well.
Wade studies the map, "Okay, our wolf is close."
Lizzie raises an eyebrow at the two vampires, "Ready to be our wolf bait?"
"We'll lure it closer to you so you can cast a spell."
With that, the two vampires use their vamp speed to run into the woods, trying to get the wolf to catch their scent.
