"Thor said he would try to get my research back for me, after he gets back what 'is rightfully his.'"
Hope furrows her eyebrows, almost comedically, "...I'm sorry, did you—did you just say 'Thor'?"
Jane nods.
"Thor, as in—"
"Asgardian, son of Odin, Norse god of thunder...Yeah, that's him..."
———
Hope doesn't know what to say or think.
And it doesn't help that the sirens inside the tented facility are blaring in her ears.
She struggles with the task of processing what she's just heard.
It isn't possible.
But then again...vampires, werewolves, witches...none of that is supposed to be possible either.
Hope, herself, is the Tribrid.
An anomaly.
A myth.
A defiance to the rules of nature. She'd be naive to think this is completely out of the realm of possibility.
But before she really gets the chance to respond to Dr. Foster, another figure is approaching them cautiously.
Hope initially stands in front of Dr. Foster, almost protectively, but Jane greets the man with relief evident in her voice, "Erik, thank you for coming," she steps around Hope to greet him with a hug.
"That must be Dr. Selvig," Hope hears MG through her ear piece.
"You sounded like you were in trouble over the phone..." He skeptically eyes Hope as he pulls away from Jane's hug, "Who's this?"
Hope properly extends her hand, "Hope Mikaelson. And you must be Dr. Selvig."
He nods slowly, shaking her hand. He wonders, as Jane does, how she knew who he was.
Jane explains to Erik, "Hope has also been reviewing the anomaly." She then continues to explain why she originally called him, "Thor went in not too long ago..."
Dr. Selvig shakes his head, "This isn't good. He's drawing too much negative attention."
"I just wish we knew what was happening in there..."
Hope takes a risk, making it known that she has someone in her ear, risking any slim chance of trust she could build with these two, by talking to the agents through her comms, "Guys, can you hack into their heat signature systems remotely and get a visual on the inside?"
"On it."
Jane does appear skeptical, "I thought you said you weren't an agent."
Hope confidently responds, her eyes almost daring, "I'm not."
MG comes through comms, "He's knocked out several agents. It looks like he's making his way inside."
Adding to the abundance of inconvenience, Hope and the two astrophysicists begin to feel raindrops, a storm brewing in the sky, ironically.
The intensity of the situation continues to build, as Thor continues to fight through agents, and Hope hates being on the outside, hearing the details over her comm link, especially with the two scientists growing more and more anxious.
Hope sighs, "I need to get in there."
Hope can feel the two pairs of widened eyes on her.
She immediately hears Josie come in over comms for the first time since they both left the club earlier, "Hope, you can't, you'll get caught—"
"I don't have another choice right now. If this really is Thor, then we can't let that information and his power fall into the wrong hands. They'll just use him for political power and as a weapon of war."
Hope turns away, whispering into her comms so that the two scientists don't hear,
"Jo, if they learn about his being here, that puts all of us at risk, the entire supernatural community. That's why we do what we do..."
She doesn't get a response from Josie, but she can feel her fear.
She continues more audibly,
"I can't let him fall into their hands...We can help him, Jo."It provides Jane and Erik some insight to Hope's truest intentions, and consequently, they seem to trust her more, instantly.
Hope hears Josie sigh in contemplation.
She knows the girl doesn't want her to do anything risky, but she doesn't see another option right now.
Knowing how it might upset the brunette, she makes the executive decision, "I'm going in."
