Hope drives into the garage, seeing Josie waiting there for her.
She pulls off her mask before hopping off the motorcycle.
"Welcome back Ms. Mikaelson," Vision extends a metal hand out to take the mask from her, along with her leather jacket.
"Thank you Vis."
Josie looks a bit nervous as Hope approaches her, fiddling with her thumbs and chewing at her lip, "I was beginning to worry."
Hope took a little longer than the others to arrive back at the complex.
"Sorry, I was scoping out the perimeter of the woods. Just in case there were any witnesses around."
Josie nods in understanding, clearly more relaxed now that she knows Hope is okay, "Good...Um, Kaleb took the wolf down to a transition cell. The others are in the foyer."
"Great, let's go meet them—"
Hope tries to walk by her but she's stopped by Josie placing a hand on her arm.
"Hope—"
The auburn haired girl turns to face her, blue eyes locking in with brown,
"Thank you,"
Hope furrows her eyebrows in confusion, so Josie elaborates,
"For stepping in tonight. If you wouldn't have been in those woods—"
"Jo," Hope gives her a knowing smile, "I made a promise to protect you. I intend to keep it."
Josie smiles as she averts her gaze, trying to hide the light blush rising to her cheeks, and the attempt doesn't go unnoticed by Hope, who smiles sweetly at the girl, "Why don't we go inside? The others are probably waiting to be debriefed."
Josie nods and follows alongside Hope into the building, seeing the others in the foyer, and Hope suggests they meet Kaleb downstairs.
In the elevator, MG and Wade are still talking about how cool Hope's intervention was. With the swift movement, and knocking the wolf out of the air, and pinning him down, and stopping the other wolf in his tracks.
Lizzie rolls her eyes, actually agreeing for once, "Okay, I'll admit, that was pretty cool. You get a point from me there."
Finally, progress.
When the elevator door opens, Kaleb is locking the cell for their new wolf, turning to look at Hope, wearing a look of confusion, "Hope, Jed's in his cell, but the door was open."
Hope sighs, grabbing a blanket and bottle of water before walking to Jed's cell, tossing the blanket over his body as she starts to hear his bones breaking.
"Our other wolf will take longer to transition back, since it's his first full moon." She exits the cell to give Jed more privacy.
While everyone else in the basement is super confused, Hope seems completely unfazed by the cell being wide open the whole time.
When Jed groans, now in his human form, he looks up to see Hope and the other agents turn to face him, Hope with her arms crossed, not necessarily angry, but he doesn't know that.
Josie pieces it together, "Wait, the other werewolf in the woods...That was you, wasn't it?"
Suddenly there's a guilty look on his face, ashamed as he averts his gaze to the floor.
Hope walks back into the cell, holding out the bottle of water to him without a word.
He's reluctant to take it from her, skeptical of her benevolence despite his clear disregard for the team's plans and her orders.
