Sonics pov

When we were done eating I wanted to get off but then they wanted to go to the lake again "ugh, great" I said sarcasticly and saw Rouge and Blaze grinning at eachother like they had some plan but I didn't think much of it "let's go!" Tails said, everyone nodded but me, "come on big blue" Rouge said "ugh can't I go for a ru-" I got cut off by Blaze "alright lets go!" while Shadow was pulling me by my hand "yeah let's go scaredy cat" he said and pulled me to the lake where everyone else was "remember I never agreed to this" I said crossing my arms "yeah yeah you can hang in the tree for all I care" Shadow responded "atleast I don't have to deal with your fear while we're literally next to a lake" he said, ouch. "fine. I'll sit in that tree!" I pointed at a tree and climbed up there, while I was thinking to myself, 'am I actually annoying around water? Why am I overreacting?! There's people who probably hear this more than one time!' but before I knew my hand glipped out I fell into the water!

Tails pov:

"Sonic!" I screamed but then Rouge held me back "calm down little one, he knows what he's doing," she said "but he will drown!" I said "no he won't, if you look really close into the water..." she said and everyone looked into the water and... he was a merhog?! "so he lied to us the whole time?" Silver said "he probably has his reasons" said Shadow crossing his arms "guys he's swimming away to the waterfall!" I screamed while everyone was focusing on what they were saying "quick grab a net we need to stop him before he falls down!" Blaze said and we went searching for a net while Shadow tried to run after Sonic "I don't know what your doing but you need to stop now!" he screamed at him while he was dashing to the water "I found a net" Knuckles screamed "good job redhead" Rouge answered while Knuckles growled at her "stop arguing and go!" Silver said loudly and we slowly catched up with Shadow and Sonic and tried to throw the net infront of Sonic but it he bit through it and before we knew he already fell down "Sonic!" I screamed "guys wait here I'll try to get down there" I said and before anyone could respond I started floating down with my 2 Tails "Sonic don't worry!" I screamed

Sonic pov

"Sonic don't worry!" I heard someone scream but my vision was blurry because I hit a stone, when I fell down I hit another stone, just great, my head was full of wounds and my hands because of the net, and now my back, suddenly I got pulled out of the water

Knuckles pov:

"Do you think he's gonna be alright?"
Blaze asked "probably, he always turns out to survive things surprisingly," I answered her and Shadow nodded "see, even he agrees" I pointed at Shadow who was looking down the waterfall trying to tease him but he didn't really seem to care "why do you think he swam away?" Silver asked "he probably heard the ,so he lied to us this whole time?, and probably thinks that we find him a lair now" Shadow responded and everyone agreed "or he was just scared we found out that he was a merhog after Shadow told that ,story, and that we would be scared of him now" Rouge said "that could also be true" Blaze said and then Tails came back holding Sonic his hand "little help please?" he said making a nervous laugh
