Chapter 3

1 am (1:00)

Sonic pov

I woke up so I could take a quick swim without anyone seeing it I think, I mean everyone should be asleep by now, I silently climbed down the bed ladder and opened the door, silently, then I walked to the door to go outside leaving a squeak sound every step I set, I could've sworn someone heard that. I was by the door and opened it and ran outside forgetting to close it, I walked up to the lake and went to the sand and laid down for a bit "I should lay here for a while" I said to myself and layed down, I loved the silence, the only thing I heard was the water going down

Blaze pov

"pssst, hey Rouge?" I whispered, to my surprise she was actually awake "what is it?" she whispered back "someone went outside" I responded "should we check out who it was?" she said "okay let's go" we both slowly walked to the door and tried to look who it was "is that Sonic?" she asked me silently "I think so, I mean I don't know any other blue hedgehog that would be around here now" I answered "what is he doing?" I asked her "I don't know, he looks like he's laughing or somethin' " she told, we both kept silently looking until he jumped into the lake "oh my god, what if he drowns" I whispered to her "he'll survive, I mean why would he jump in the water when he can't swim, it's not like he has a bad life" she said "okay that's true but still, I see something glowing, I really think we need to check up on him" I said in a worrying voice "don't worry about it, I found out if someone doesn't come out of the water within 10 minutes he's probably dead" she responded "but we've been waiting for 6 minutes" I complained "still not 10" she said in a not-caring voice

5 minutes later

"Rouge we've been waiting for more then 10 minutes now" I said "okay maybe we need to lo-" she got cut off when Sonic crawled out revealing his fins on his back and his large tail "oh catch me Blaze" she said falling into my arms "what just happened" I said in a frozen voice, Rouge stood up while Sonic was shaking himself dry and becoming himself again while he began laughing and walking back "cmon lets hide behind the door" I said "what if he closes it?" she asked, fair point "let's go to the kitchen, it has glass in the door" she said while we slowly stepped to the kitchen and closed the door, we watched Sonic walk back to his room "oh my god, we just watched a world wide hero turn into a mermaid or something," she said while I tried to hold my laugh and when she noticed she almost laughed to "let's go back before anyone notices" I said "alright" and we both went back, talked for a while and then fell asleep

The  next morning

Narrator pov

They all got up and got ready, Blaze and Silver were cooking, Knuckles, Tails and Sonic were playing around outside and Shadow and Rouge were watching some videos

Rouge pov

I should probably talk to Blaze about yesterday soon, after dinner I geusss

After the food was made everyone went to the table and I looked at Blaze and pointed my eyes to make a sign, to sit next to Sonic. surprisingly she understood and we sat down next to him, Shadow sat next me and the rest was on the other side

"so what did you guys cook?" Tails asked "I know it's not much but we got steak, patatoes with sausage, salad and toast, we didn't make much because it was only morning" Blaze said "looks great to me" I responded "heh, thanks" she said looking at me grinning
