A/N: Woo, another chapter. This is all my backlog, so updates will be fewer and farther in between

Red shook Blue awake for dinner. Blue got up, he felt a bit better after a nap. Leaf was already sat at the counter, chewing on some bread.

"Finally, the sleepyhead's awake." Leaf smirked.

"Hello to you too, Leaf." Blue sat down at the counter beside Red.

"Red's been telling me about Mewtwo and Mt. Silver." Blue exchanged a glance with a tired looking Red. He had probably fluffed up both of those stories for Leaf- he hadn't heard much about Mt. Silver from Red at all.

"Cool. What's for dinner?" Blue mumbled, still waking up. Eevee hopped onto the counter and onto his head.

"Red made a curried zucchini soup. It's pretty good." Leaf was dipping the bread in the soup, "He also made these amazing breadsticks." She chewed on the bread.

"Sounds delicious." Blue grinned at Red who smiled warmly. Eevee's wagging tail thumped back and forth on his neck, she chirped at Blue, looking for attention. "Hey, baby." He pried Eevee off his head and cradled her in his arms. Blue, while he didn't focus on it much, couldn't describe how adorable Eevee was. She was the cutest little thing in the world, and so while he was acting like a cooing parent to a newborn baby, he really couldn't help it. She did know Baby-Doll Eyes after all. Leaf was giggling at something.

"Poor Red..." She snickered.

"What happened?" Blue looked up from Eevee.

"I don't think I can tell you..." Leaf continued to giggle, Blue looked over at Red who ducked under the bill of his hat. The three ate in silence, Red's cooking was good as per usual. "Blue, is it okay if I crash here tonight? I'll be out of your goofy ginger hair in the morning, I need to get back to Hoenn, but I need a place to stay." Leaf eventually broke the silence.
"Yeah, you can crash on the couch. Red can take the bed and I'll take the floor. You two are free to rearrange, but that seems like the best arrangement." Blue sighed. He probably wouldn't sleep well, and he kind of wanted his bed back, but... This was fine.

"That sounds great, thanks Blue." Leaf grinned. They finished dinner. Blue and Leaf chatted, with the occasional grunt or murmur from Red. Leaf had grown up quite a bit. She had been traveling around Hoenn for awhile now, and it sounded like she had nearly completed that region's Pokedex. Blue filled her in on what had happened (which wasn't much). Eventually, Leaf stood up and hugged both Red and Blue. Blue smiled, Leaf was obnoxious like Red, but... she was also just as sweet. "Thanks again for letting me stay for the night."

"You're welcome, kid." Blue sighed. He watched Leaf settle onto the couch. Blue finished eating, and set the dishes in the sink. Red gripped Blue's shoulder, making him jump. He nodded towards the door. Blue would quietly follow him out the door. "Hey, bud." He smiled, Eevee squirmed back onto his shoulder.

"...Hey.. Sorry about Leaf showing up."

"Oh, no worries. She's a good kid. What's up?"

"I guess.. I just wanted to take a walk." Red shrugged.

"Lead the way, then." Blue was feeling a bit after his nap and Red's dinner. Red's body was hunched over, why did he seem nervous? Blue interlocked his arm with Red's, it was too cold to be wearing a crop-top at the moment. It was chilly, the refreshing evening air was nice, but too cold for Blue's liking. Red leaned into Blue, his breath hot on Blue's cheek. Eevee seemed kind of annoyed that one of Blue's shoulders was taken, but she'd get over it.

"There's still that park nearby, right?"

"I think so, it may be a bit late to go to a park, though." Blue hadn't been to the park in ages, mostly due to the number of Pokemon trainers that trained there on a regular basis. He didn't want to be in the middle of a stroll, and then challenged because he had an underleveled Eevee sitting on his shoulder.
