"Everyday is always sunny, I'm sweet as syrup on you, honey.." -Apple Pie
Blue had stayed up all night with the help of energy drinks and sheer will. Red had slept peacefully, and rather than grumbling about how his efforts had been for nothing, Blue had to make the active decision to be glad that Red got some good sleep. Speaking of Red, he was sleeping in. Blue still sat on the sofa, noting to grab some eye drops at the first opportunity he got. Eevee and Pikachu were also still asleep on his lap, though Eevee had been leaning onto Red. Blue wrapped his arm around her so she wouldn't fall onto him and wake him up. Pikachu had been stirring, but had stubbornly cuddled up against Eevee. Blue had the theory that Red was awake but enjoying this too much to ruin it, but he could tolerate his tauros-shit on the off chance that this was not the case. Red cuddled up somehow closer, and Blue grabbed his phone. He took a quick picture, face burning. It was a cute picture, he noted through a cloud of delirium. Red had his face nuzzled in Blue's neck, leaning on him. Blue put his phone away. Red still wasn't stirring, he must've been exhausted. Poor guy... unless he was fake-sleeping. Pikachu got up, and climbed up Blue's chest and over to Red. "Rat- don't wake him up-" Blue whisper-scolded Pikachu, which didn't listen. Pikachu poked Red, and like magic, he was up. Red blushed, and Blue figured that his little conspiracy theory was wrong if he was that embarrassed to be waking up on his shoulder. "'Morning. Sleep well?" Blue sipped at his fourth energy drink. Red nodded, smiling sheepishly. "Nice. Do you want to grab breakfast?" Blue asked, looking down at Eevee who had woken up with all the commotion. She hopped off his lap and Blue watched her trot into the kitchen. He looked back at Red who nodded. "There's a pretty decent diner nearby, it's this kind of Unova-cana (Americana) place. We have a lot of Unovan places around here, actually." Blue noted that last bit to himself. He got up and fed Eevee. He turned around, straight into Red. Red startled him more often than not, taking full advantage of his silence. "Careful, you nearly gave me a heart attack." Blue smirked, looking up (He hated that he had to look up at Red) to meet Red's gaze. Red snickered.
"You jump a lot." Red mumbled, "Were you always this skittish?""Well, I typically don't have a giant, stinky, underwear-model looking mountain man that has the stealth of a Noctowl following me around." Blue chuckled, running a hand through his hair. He moved past Red and over to the fridge. Blue grabbed a carton of ripe Grepa berries and popped a few in his mouth. He enjoyed trying different berries, and so the few and far between trips to the grocery store meant a new kind of berry. Grepa berries were one of his least favorites texture-wise, but they were sort of sweet and tart and generally pleasant when it came to flavor. Blue had always had a sweet tooth. He liked most flavors, but rich sweetness would always be his favorite. While Blue finished his miniature berry review, he began walking over to the bathroom. He washed his hands, grabbed the eye drops out of the cabinet and dropped a couple dribbles of relief into each eye. Red snuck up on him- or tried to, the bathroom mirror gave him away. He wasn't wearing a shirt because of course he wasn't, and had a curious look in his eyes. "Do you want to borrow another shirt? I don't understand how you walk around in tight shirts and skinny jeans these days. The baggy jeans were always more comfortable." Blue mumbled, taking some ibuprofen for the gentle headache that began to grow in the back of his neck. "And don't try to tell me it makes your ass look good or something." Blue watched Red shrug in the mirror. He had nice pecs, Blue absentmindedly noted. "Yeah, yeah, I'll grab you a shirt." Blue mumbled, trudging out of the bathroom. He grabbed one of his shirts and tossed it at Red. He then turned back around and slipped on a pair of jeans and looked at his shirt situation. Feeling confident (and probably delirious), after a few moments of deliberation, he slipped on a crop top. Blue turned back around, Red was leaning on the counter, face buried in his hands. He smirked, "Are you doing okay, bud?" Red nodded slowly. Blue wrapped Red in a brief hug. He then let Pidgeot out of its Pokeball. Pidgeot glanced around, and it looked curiously at Red. "Red's fine. He doesn't want to battle right now. Let's get you and the rest of the team fed, mk?" Blue smiled at Pidgeot, stroking it's headfeathers gently. He could now feel Red's eyes staring a hole into his back once again. Blue fed his pokemon, occasionally glancing at Red who was watching him, clearly fascinated by something. "Hey, Red, buddy, you're staring." Blue snickered. Red's face went pink, embarrassed that he was caught.
