A/N: Do they have french toast in the world of Pokemon? I'd say they do, hence the Kalosian Toast. Also, Blue's a french toast guy as opposed to pancakes, fight me.

"(Could you spare a sec to talk to me?) Ah, but what is there left to say?"- Friends with You, April Fools

"..." Blue woke up to Red staring him down.

"Uh- Hey..." Blue froze. Red had nearly given him a heart attack.

"..." Red smiled, waving.

"You didn't have to stare at me, weirdo." Blue snickered, flicked Red's chin.

"...You wake up so late, though..." Red mumbled, glancing over at the time.

"Okay then, Mountain Man.." Blue yawned, rolling back over onto the couch. Red grabbed his shoulder and pushed him back over. "Excuse me, sir... I need at least 10 hours."

"..." Red smirked, gently lifting Blue up off the couch.

"Put me down!" Blue loudly protested as Red sat him down at the counter. "I don't like that you can pick me up."

"..." Red shrugged, pulling a tray out of the oven that Blue had been neglecting.

"Red- did you make breakfast?" Red nodded to Blue's horror, "You didn't have to make me breakfast. I appreciate it but I uh.. You didn't have to." Red shrugged, a smug smirk plastered on his face.

"... It's Kalosian Toast..." Red had used Blue's preferences against him. He couldn't turn down Kalosian Toast and Red knew that.

"Thanks." Blue mumbled, pulling several slices of the toast onto his plate. Red took the rest of it and sat down next to him, "Wait- how'd you make toast on a tray?"

"... Was just keeping it warm.."

"Huh. Never thought of that. Has Eevee been fed? She wasn't pawing at my forehead this morning." Red nodded, pointing to Eevee who was sitting over her bowl. "How early were you up?" Red shrugged at this. Blue grabbed one of the extra pieces of toast, "Eevee, c'mere." Eevee turned her head and trotted over. Blue tore off a piece of the toast and gave it to her, then looked at Red, "Oh- I forgot to ask. Where's the rat?"

"I thought you didn't like Pikachu?"

"I still don't, but you always have it on you." With that, Red dug around in his bag, grabbed a Pokeball, and called out Pikachu. It looked slightly perturbed- like how Eevee was when Blue kept her in a Pokeball. Blue offered it a piece of toast, which it didn't accept like the little brat it was. Red snickered, grabbing the piece of toast from Blue. He took a bite and then offered it to Pikachu. Pikachu accepted it. "Wow, I see how it is..." Blue rolled his eyes, then looked back down at Eevee who was looking up at him. "Yes, you may hop up. Don't eat my toast or I won't get the kind of berries you like next week." With this, Eevee jumped onto his lap. Red was watching Eevee and Blue carefully, he seemed weirdly fascinated. Blue finished his plate of toast, trying to ignore Red staring a hole into him. Red was cute- well, in the weird little charming sort of way that would make any teen girl giggle, but Blue still didn't appreciate the staring. Eevee looked up at Blue, "There's no more for you, girl. You already had breakfast anyways." He decided to go about as normal, talking to Eevee and getting ready for work, "Uh- thanks for breakfast." Blue smiled at Red awkwardly. He slid off the stool and let Eevee climb onto his shoulder. It was funny how small pokemon usually stood around on their trainers' shoulders, Pikachu had done it with Red for years, Eevee did it, and various strangers usually let their pokemon do the same. Red still sat at the counter, Blue could feel his stare burning into him despite being turned away from him. Blue shooed Eevee off his shoulder, and opened the tiny nightstand where he kept his clothes. He tore off his baggy sleep shirt and slid on a loose, gray tank top, once again pretending Red wasn't there. Blue quickly pulled on beige, baggy cargo pants. He fixed his appearance a bit and ran a hand through scruffy hair before turning back around. Red has his head down on the counter, hands shielding his face. "What's up? I was wearing boxers. I didn't completely strip and if I was going to I would've told you so." Red looked back up.

"I would've like a warning..." He mumbled sheepishly, making Blue smirk.

"I'll give you a warning next time, then. I guess Mountain Men don't get a ton of action, huh?" Red had always been flustered by things, but Blue would've guessed that had changed. Red shook his head at Blue's remark, shifting. He probably wanted a subject change, and Blue felt immediately guilty about teasing him, "Uh... sorry." Red shook his head.

"...It's fine..."

"So, are you going to set up a hotel room? This little apartment doesn't really have enough privacy for the two of us. I can make it work if you can't afford a hotel room, but still. I think it'd be comfier." Red shook his head? "What was that to?"

"Hotel room."

"You just want to stay with me?" Red nodded, and Blue frowned. "I can do that. Yeah. That's fine." It was fine, Blue just had no idea why Red would want to stay with him. He understood Red didn't like talking to people over the phone, which is why he had offered to book the hotel room for him last night, but Red had just refused the hotel room in general. Blue sighed, he was looking into things. He had literally just offered to let stay with him if he couldn't afford the room, so that was probably it. Red got up, and walked over to the sink. He grabbed one of the various dishes that had been piled in it. Blue never really had the motivation to do the dishes... or anything, especially after coming home from the gym, so the dishes had to be a month or two old. "Wait- Red, you don't have to do the dishes, man. I'm the host, I should do the dishes." Blue walked over to the sink and grabbed one of the dishes in a feeble attempt to get Red to set his own dish down. Red shook his head, letting out a tiny scoff. "Did you just scoff at me?"

"..." Red smirked, then continued to scrub the dish. Blue shook his head, if Red was going to wash the dishes, he was going to at least help. They finished doing the dishes a lot faster than if Blue had just done them by himself. Blue sighed, looking down at Eevee who was watching him expectantly.

"What are you gonna do today?" Blue looked at Red who shrugged, "Well, I need to go to work." Despite knowing Red wouldn't do anything downright invasive and offensive, the idea of leaving anyone alone in his apartment was nerve wracking. It made Blue's stomach twist a bit, but he knew he was being unreasonable. Eevee, who had always been eerily in-touch with Blue's emotions, began to growl. It was just a low hum, really, but it was telling. Blue picked up Eevee and began to pet her gently. "You can hang out here if you like. Just don't touch my things, please." He mumbled, "Also, thanks for helping with the dishes." Red nodded.

"Blue, are you feeling okay?"

"Yeah." Blue nodded stiffly, "I'll cya soon, then." Blue grabbed his jacket off the sofa and grabbed his bag. He left the apartment, despite Eevee's lashing tail and the small pit in his stomach. Eevee squirmed onto Blue's shoulder, licking his cheek. "It's fine, girl. Nothing to worry about. Red's a good dude, I'm just being unreasonable."
