Waiting Game

"Shit. I think we're trapped." I heard Drew said.

"No. There has to be some way out for sure." Ani Pierce, nakalabas ang kanyang ulo sa bintana.

The growls of the infected had gone even louder. I can't think properly right now but the thought that they manage to break in made me wonder if their brain still functions or maybe, they are just driven by their hunger. The thought that they can think sent shiver down my spine. It is terrifying.

Mabilis na binuksan ko ang bag ko para kunin ang perfume.

"There. We have to go up first, Timo. Kailangan natin silang hilain paakyat." Ani Aki.

"What if we'll get trap in the roof?" Natatakot na tanong ni Lory.

"It's either we go up or down. But right now, there's no fucking way I'd go down." Ani Pierce.

"Guys, find something you can cover your scent with. Anything." Natapos ko ng sprayhan ng perfume ang katawan ko, sunod ko ring sprinayhan si Law.

Hindi pa ako nakuntento, nag spray din ako ng peppermint na essential oil. Sa bawat ingay na nagmumula sa mga infected ay tumitindig ang mga balahibo ko sa katawan. I jump on my feet when I heard a banging on the door. Fuck. How come when I didn't hear the other glass wall break?!

Si Drew ay nandoon malapit sa mga nakaharang sa pinto.

Hindi na sya umangal at pinauna nya na sina Stella at Pauline. Hindi ko alam paano pero nasa labas na sina Timo at Aki. Hindi lang ako sigurado kung nakaakyat na ba sila. Tumakbo ako palapit sa may bintana para sumilip. Napamura ako nang makitang marami ring infected sa baba. Their hands are on the air, hoping that any of us would fall down and fill their hunger.

I can't believe were doing this in the middle of the night. Nang lumingon ako sa gilid ay nakita kong tinutulungan ni Aki si Timo para makaakyat at halatang nahihirapan sila. I don't know how Aki reached the rooftop but he's now pulling Timo up with all his strength. Tangina. Bakit ba wala hagdan dito.

"Go, Stella." I said to her when Timo had successfully reach the top.

I scanned the whole area to find something that we can use such as rope but there's nothing in here. Bakers doesn't use ropes.

"Ate, masyadong mahirap. Natatakot ako para sa kanila." Law said as we all watch Stella worriedly.

She's silently crying but I can see the determination on her face. Nilibot kong muli ang buong kitchen studio hanggang sa may nakita akong nakatupi. Mabilis ko itong kinuha. I thank God when I saw that they are aprons. There are at least ten of it and in different colors.

Nakita ko ang paglapit ni Kate sa akin. Natataranta rin siya but surprisingly, she's quiet and she's trying to find things that she can do.

"What should we do with this?" She asked, panting.

"Pagdugtong-dugtongin natin. This could help. Stella, hintayin mo muna kami." I called and hurriedly tie the three.

Sinunod naman ni Kate ang ginagawa ko. Lumapit sina Drew at Pierce para tumulong na rin para mas lalong mapabilis.
