- 1 week after the tragedy at Summer Camp -

- 3rd person -

Dylan was behind bars, all alone after being treated at the hospital for his wounds. He looked down at his missing left hand. He sighed and grabbed his knees, pulling his legs up to his chest. He began to cry. A lot.

His eyes stung from his tears that ran down his face for hours. Dylan knew everyone survived... or... he hoped everyone survived. All he actually knew was Kaitlyn, Abi, and Emma were safe in the lodge, which they probably got locked up in jail for some time too. But what about Ryan? The last time he saw him was when he left with the pirate girl... Laura.

Dylan gasped for air as his tears soaked his shirt and knees. He looked at the uncomfortable bed right next to him. He decided it was time for rest. He had been suffering for 4 days in that cell, he didn't sleep for 2.

He sat up on the bed, his tears still flowing. His only thoughts were about Ryan. Dylan cried himself to sleep that night. Only to be woken up to clinking shoes outside his cell.

"You're free to go." An officer shouts as he sees the boy's eyes flutter open, red from crying.

"Now?! Really? Finally..." Dylan cries.

"Yep, we found some evidence around the camp proving you innocent." The officer smirks.

A long pause took place.

"What about my friends?" Dylan mutters.

"As far as I know, they're out too."

"Shit... I'm- thank you... thank you."

The officer takes his key out, unlocking the cell, he takes Dylan by the shoulder and leads him out. The officer points towards the phone and tells Dylan to call his guardian.

Dylan calls his mom, it only took a few seconds before his worried mom answered the phone.

"Mom...?"

"Oh! Dylan, hunny, are you alright? Where are you? I heard about what happened on the news..."

"Mom... I'm okay, I'm being released from jail, please, come pick me up."

"Hun, I'm on my way. Oh God, I'm so happy to hear your voice again." Dylan's mom cries out.

"Thank you, mom. I'll be waiting. Love you. Goodbye."

Dylan ends the call and notices a tear drop running down his face. He smiled at the officer who gave him a slight smile back.

He nods and gladly takes his belongings from the officer, walks outside, and sits himself on the curb. Dylan sighs and lets out a little squeal of joy after flailing his feet around in excitement of going home.

About 10 minutes later Dylan's mother shows up. She was happy to see him and embraces him in a long hug. They both have tears running down their face while they walk to the car. On the way home Dylan talks about how it came to this and what truly happened.

They arrived home and Dylan eagerly jumped out of the car. It'd been so long since he'd seen his house. He ran towards the door jumping up and down waiting for his mother.

As soon as she approached the door Dylan whined eagerly, he was very excited to see his cat, Schrödinger. (Named after Erwin Schrödinger)

"Hold up, Dylan!" She rolls her eyes jokingly and she fumbles with the keys.

"Hurry! Hurry! Hurry!" Dylan shouts.

As soon as she opens the door Dylan runs in, not even bothering to turn the lights on. Dylan's mother chuckles. He runs into his bedroom, to find Shrödinger curled up on his pillow. He picks up the tiny white and grey cat and hugs it softly.

Dylan's mom proceeds to smile while resting on his door frame.

"He missed you, he always came into your bedroom to sleep." Dylan's mom exclaimed.

Dylan smiles. "Hey, uhm, I'm going to get some rest, thank you for everything, mom."

"No problem hun, I'm going to make some food for when you wake up. Goodnight" Ms. Lenivy smooches her son on the forehead before dimming the lights and closing the door.

Dylan grabs some comfy clothes to sleep in, proceeds to change, and plug his phone into the charger. He slides into his bed, closing his eyes and falling asleep peacefully.

2:46 AM

Dylan wakes up in a strange forest. Nothing but trees swaying and the slight snapping of twigs filled the air as Dylan walked around.

Dylan panicked, running throughout the forest. He was lost.
He took breaths as he clutched his chest trying to breathe.

Dylan paused after he heard a scream.

He turned the corner of a massive tree, and he found his friends from the Summer camp... but... dead... they were all dead...
