Dylan woke up to being poked on the face by Kaitlyn. She was dressed in a light blue tank top with a white flannel over it and some baggy jeans.
"Wake up sleepy head! Get packed, and hurry... we're supposed to be there in 35 minutes." Kaitlyn grinned.
Dylan groaned and nodded his head in agreement. He threw some clothes in his bag and packed some necessary items like a blanket, pillow, toothbrush, toothpaste and hairbrush. He grabbed his phone off his desk and threw his bag over his shoulder.
"Come on, let's go eat breakfast before we go." Dylan fluttered his eyes trying to wake up more.
For breakfast they had some waffles covered in syrup and some strawberries on the side. They finished in about 10 minutes giving them some time to check if they had everything they needed and head to the car.
Dylan smiled on the trip to the Cafe. But it was only to hide the fact he was really nervous. He couldn't stop thinking about Ryan talking about him and the fact something bad could happen. Dylan was bouncing his leg up and down as he peered out the side window. Kaitlyn noticed how nervous Dylan was and turned to smile at him when they hit a red light.
"Dylan... we'll be fine, you know that, right? You'll get to see your hubby and your friends." Kaitlyn teased. Dylan appreciated Kaitlyn trying to cheer him up but it just didn't work. He was so nervous but didn't know why exactly. The thought of seeing Ryan again was amazing, yet so scary.
Soon after, they arrived at the Cafe. They were a bit late since they got stuck in traffic on the way there. Everyone was sat at a table in the Cafe when Kaitlyn and Dylan walked in. Everyone greeted them as they ran over to the table. Dylan's face turned red as he waved to Ryan.
"Guys! I'm so glad you arrived, we thought you'd neverrrr get here!" Emma exclaims.
"Yeah, got stuck in a bit of traffic" Kaitlyn rolls her eyes.
Dylan sits next to Ryan and calmly listens to everyone else talking around him. He was as red as a tomato, but figured he could use the excuse of it being hot outside if anyone asked.
-Dylan POV-
I looked over to Ryan, who was side-eyeing me. I smiled and looked away as fast as possible, scared to make eye contact with him. He turned to his right and looked out the window.
After we got drinks and some food, Emma decided to bring us to her house. It was pouring outside now, even though a few minutes ago it was all sunny and warm. The weather here is unpredictable, just like my mood.
"Hey, uhm, Kaitlyn, can I get a ride with you and Dylan to Emma's? I kind of walked here because it was all... nice outside." Ryan grimaced.
I started smiling knowing that Ryan was going to take the ride to Em's house with me! I would get to talk to him... Oh... I would get to talk to him... it was nerve wracking yet so amazing.
Kaitlyn nudged my shoulder while walking towards her car with me and Ryan following behind her. I decided to get in the back of the car with Ryan and our bags. We had lots of little conversations, mostly about movies and music we liked. I was completely mesmerized by this man, he was so perfect.
"Hey, Dylan! We're here, you zoned out a bit." Ryan smiled at me. Kaitlyn was watching us awkwardly sit in the back through the mirror.
I gave him a little smile back as grabbing my bags and opening the door of the car. Kaitlyn gets out after me, then Ryan. She wouldn't stop giving me this little evil grin once we got out of the car when Ryan wasn't looking.
