*After few weeks - At Mai's cafe*
"No, you need to put the balloons up higher!" Mew cried out.
"Do we really need this many decorations?" Tae groaned but did as Mew said.
"Of course we do. It's not everyday someone graduates!" Mew huffed. "We have to make sure Tul gets a proper send-off. Enough complaining, back to work!"
They managed to finish all of their preparations right before Tul arrives. "Congratulations!" Mew shouted, hugging Tul.
They made a simple talk for a while. "What are your plans now that you're free from school?" Earth asked, looking up at Tul.
Tul hummed, "After a lot of thought, I've decided to return to the sea. My father told me about some opportunities to work as an engineer for the government. It'll be a good chance for me to make the difference I always wanted to see."
Mew pouted, "Don't forget to come visit when you have time off! I'll miss you."
Tul grinned, ruffling his hair, "I'll be sure to make it a regular part of my routine." He then looked around the cafe, "Are we waiting on anyone else?"
"Oh, Professor Itthipat should be coming soon." Mew said, glancing at his watch. "Bright will drop by later. He has to help with the lunch rush at his parents' place."
Tul nodded his head in understanding, "I see. Speaking of lunch, I'm starving. Would it be rude for me to partake before the others get here?"
Mew chuckled with a nod, "Help yourself! This party is for you!" He glanced at his watch again, "Hmm.. Professor Itthipat sure is late.."
At the same time, someone Mew have never seen before walked in. "I'm sorry, we're closed today for a private party." He said to the newcomer, politely.
The person looked Mew and smiled, "You're Mew, right?"
Mew frowned, "Yes... How do you know me?"
The guy grinned, "I've been looking all over for you!" He reached into his bag and pulled out a box filled with jewels. "I offer these humble gifts to you as a sign of goodwill. I promise you'll be happy for the rest of your days with me."
Mew looked at the guy with a dumbfounded expression, "Hold on! What's this all about?"
The guy tilted his head to the side, "Isn't obvious? I'm here to court you."
The door chimes again as another man walks in. "Not so fast!" He snorted at the first person and looked at Mew, "I can offer you so much more, Mew. You should choose me instead."
Mew scoffed at their approach, "I am choosing neither of you!"
At the same time, a familiar person entered the cafe, "Is something the matter?" Professor Itthipat approached them.
"Oh, Professor!" Mew smiled with a nod, "Everything's fine. These two gentlemen didn't realise we were closed for the day. They were just about to leave, right?" He eyed the two people, clearly telling them to fuck off.
"It was my intention to stay until Mew agreed to my proposal." The second person, clearly missing Mew's subtle message.
Bright came inside the cafe and held the door open. "Hey, Mew. You sure have a lot of friends coming to this party, huh?"
