Chapter - 16

The next morning, Mew got ready with Tae to accompany him to his house. Since it was early morning, they opted to walk the distance. Unlike the previous night, their morning walk was in comfortable silence.

They kept walking together until they reached Tae's house. "This sure brings back memories.." Mew said, looking up at the mansion like house. He then looked at Tae with a smirk, "Back then, I still thought you were just a stuck up jerk."

Tae leaned in, their face mere inches apart, "What am I now?" He asked, wiggling his brows playfully.

"A precious friend, someone completely irreplaceable, and someone I've come to rely on." Mew said, cupping Tae's cheek with his hand. "I care about you deeply, and I can't imagine what I'd be like without you around to help brighten my day with your sass."

Tae laughed softly. Mew smiled, looking at his gummy smile. Mew caressed the skin under Tae's eye with his thumb, "But above everything, you're someone I love unconditionally. I'm so in love with every little thing about you."

Tae blinked for a moment in shock then he wrapped his arms around Mew, "Hey, I wanted to confess to you first." He pouted.

Mew chuckled, "You're the one who asked. But you can seal the confession with a kiss. What say?" Mew wiggled his brows playfully.

"Hmmm.. sounds good to me." Tae hummed and leaned in capturing Mew's lips in a searing kiss.

*Cough* *Cough*

Upon hearing the coughing sound, both Mew and Tae separated from the kiss and looked behind them to see Earth and Tul with an unreadable expression on their face. "You guys coming in or.." Tul raised his brow.

"Yea. We'll be there in a minute." Tae said. Tul nodded his head and dragged Earth inside the house with him.

Mew bit his lips and looked up at Tae, "I didn't give my answers to them yet and here I'm kissing you in front of them. For sure, they're gonna hate me after this."

Tae cupped his face and squeezed it playfully, "Hey! Tul and Earth can't hate you. Maybe, they would be little upset but they won't hate you for this. Remember, we promised to stay by your side even if we're not choosen as your partner. I know, the boys meant it when they promised you that. Don't worry."

Mew sighed and nodded his head, "Let's get inside the house."

Once inside the house, Tae asked Mew to help Tul in packing his belongings while he talked to Earth. Mew went to Tul's room and knocked on his door.

Tul opened the door and smiled at Mew. "Hi Mew! Come inside." He stood aside to let Mew inside his room. "I guess you're here to help me pack my things. I still got lot to do. I need to bring all my inventions with me." Saying that, Tul guided Mew to where he was packing his things.

For few minutes, they were packing his things in comfortable silence. "So, a government position huh?" Mew asked, trying to break the ice.

Tul hummed, "From what I understand, there's plenty of opportunities there to really make a change. My father's already put in a good word for me to the head of the engineering department. When he brought up the things I made in my time here, the head engineer sounded quite interested. They want me to have an interview with me as soon as possible."

Mew nodded his head, "How soon is that?"

Tul looked up at Mew and smiled , "Tomorrow, actually. That's why I need to bring all my inventions with me today. They might be interested in a few."
