Third Person Pov
"Conquer"Jisoo hates thunder and lightning for a reason, it was not because it was ear deafening or life-threatening. When her father left them, the weather wasn't as good as the family's relationship. It wasn't only the city that was under a storm, but the home they built for years.
The younger Jisoo would run to her father and pursue him to play outside while raining, and the man would gladly approve. He would chase her daughter, playing tag undeterred by cold. The child would give her a smile that beats a somber atmosphere.
What young Jisoo set shore by, was when her father held for of her hands and begin dancing. The man humss Jisoo's favorite melody that brings comfort to her heart. What made it more special is when her mother and brother joined them in glee. They sway and twirl till the sun emerges again.
But the whole fairyland and Jisoo's love for grey weather was replaced by dreary feelings when the man quits being a father. It shatters Jisoo's innocent heart more when the day was similar to when they were still joyous.
It was in the middle of July when Jisoo first saw her mother cry. She was in deep slumber and was awakened by clamors. In her paired pajamas that her father bought, she steadily steps out of her room, barely making a noise.
The young child crouched towards the side of the stairs, confused about what was with the commotion. Only to witness her parents be at each other's throats. Jisoo wants to comprehend, to fully understand what made them hate each other this much.
"I gave you my all. I didn't leave anything for myself. And this is what I'll gain?" Her mother was irascible. Swollen written all over her face. The turmoil the living room had faced didn't escape Jisoo's eyes. Her gaze then jumped to his father.
"Are we now counting all the things we have done? I'm tired of all of this. I'll wake up and go home dealing with the same things. I'm tired of you!" Her father vociferates, and the chills went up to Jisoo's spine. She hasn't heard his father that incensed.
"Because you're not talking to me! You're not fixing the problem with me! You always choose to walk out!" Jisoo nearly slipped when thunder roared mimicking her mother's rage.
"How can I not? You're the problem, Dara! I had enough of you! Just let me go!" Jisoo gasps when her mother's eyes widened. Her father started to grab his bags and walk. Jisoo stood promptly when her mother sprinted to catch the man. Clinging on his arms, knees on the ground, tears with it.
"Don't leave, don't do this to me, to us. Our kids..." Sandara sobbed against her hold. But the man did not falter. Jung-Jae stares outside the stormy road. Feet aching to move, heart flaming and in want to cease it. He can't see a future with her anymore, he was not the woman he married, he said to himself.
He can't take it, the repetitive fights, the petty arguments, everything. His love was gone, along with the promised vows before the priest. He was not happy anymore, horrible, but it was the truth. Living in this home made him feel sick.
