Third Person Pov
"Salt on a wound"
Lisa took the courage of driving home, finger against their lip, arm on the flank, mind elsewhere, it seized all of her not to swivel back and confront her best friend. And not returning her calls felt like holding your breath underwater. Compressing you, twisting, killing you.
She went to her parent's home, and not to their unit.
She surpassed her parents without a greeting, flee to her room, and sealed herself. Abandoning Seulgi in the parking lot added more guilt to her. But she knows the woman understood. And she would let this go, yet Lisa put in mind that she needed to apologize. However, not at this very moment.
Dinner has come, and she was illegally quiet, which made her parents worry. Her father didn't speak and observed her daughter thoroughly, while her mother wants to ask why, but when she attempted, Lisa wavers a "just another tiring day" type of response.
The latter wasn't able to sleep, not that it is new, but for a different reason. Before was because she let herself imagine a lovely future with her best friend, now, for that reason, her heart wouldn't mellow. Lisa spends the night shedding tears, without notice, without no one to talk to. Just the sound of her sobs, and her phone that keeps on vibrating.
Sunday, Lisa hasn't spoken to her best friend since last Thursday. And she was stumbling upon having the perfect explanation for her. She couldn't tell her upfront that she was hurt and jealous. That would start the time bomb to tick. And would blow her secret off.
Across the roads, was Jisoo. Also paid a visit to her mom. Since her brother is not around, till tonight. Unresolved, thinking of what she has done wrong to make Lisa walk out. As much as she wants to run after her, the theater team wouldn't let her go easily. And she knows, that when Lisa needs space, she meant it. Jisoo would not deprive her of having the time she wants for herself. Despite the uncomfortable tugging on her heart.
"Was it because of the kiss?" She asked herself, was it because she didn't tell her beforehand? It was what Jisoo tries to talk about last time, the reason she needs to see Lisa before the play. But the circumstances prohibited her to do so. Lisa and Jisoo never hide things from each other. As what Jisoo remembers. That's why she wants to disclose it to her best friend. And that's the reason she thinks made Lisa disappointed.
Or, it could be the other reason, an explanation that Jisoo doesn't want to abide. The feeling that Lisa could be jealous. The brunette fears that thought. Why would she be jealous? Jisoo has an answer for that but went on not recognizing it. She can't, she won't...
"The Manobans are coming tonight to welcome your brother together." Sandara, picking up the pile of utilized clothes, halted her daughter from checking her phone. Jisoo swiftly stood and took her things from her mother.
