(11:00 pm) (El's pov)

I opened my curtains and my window and realized my window faced Mike's so I went over to my phone and texted Mike to look out the window.

(Texting sequence lmao idk) 

El:
Hey Mike look out your window!

Mike:
Okay.
Oh hey! were window buddies, lol.

El:
Yeah, How lucky! 😁

(Ok we're done with texting now lol)
(El's pov)

I put down my phone and took the screen off my window. Climbed onto the roof and sat down. Mike then climbed out his window and jumped onto a tree that was in between our houses. Then jumped over to my roof and took a seat next to me. But he left a good amount of space between us.

"Well it's nice that we're window buddies hah now we can hang out without leaving our houses you know if we get grounded or something haha"
Mike commented to start some conversation.

"Yeah, jeez wheeler I didn't know you were that much trouble do I need to worry about being roped into your crimes of breaking curfews?"
I teased the raven haired boy beside me.
Mike chuckled and shook his head.
"No"
He said with a laugh, as he pulled out a smoke and lit it.
"This is as bad as it gets"
Mike said as he exhaled.
"Pass it to me wheeler"
I said reaching for the cigarette. Mike passed it to me and we shared it until it was done.

"So where are you going to school next year?"
Mike asked.
"I'm going to Hawkins high school, what about you?"
I replied.
"Oh I'm going there too!"
Mike exclaimed.

He looked cute when he was excited wait did I seriously just think that! I just met him jeez El get your $hit together! I thought to myself.

"Hey you alright?
Mike asked me.
"Yeah I just got lost in my own head you know?"
I replied with a smile.
"I totally get that."
Mike replied.

(Mike's pov 11:30)
"I totally get that."
I replied. Obviously I'm not telling her why but I have my reasons.
"Well I better get ready for bed"
I told El.
"Alright have a good night Mike!"
El said with a smile. Oh wow was she ever pretty, wait what am I thinking I just met her!? I thought to myself.

(Mike's pov 12:25)
I was sitting in the bathroom as I contemplated a lot of things. I had been cutting my arms for a while now, I don't even remember how long to be honest. I grabbed the pocket knife out of my room and pressed it into my forearm and made a couple scratches in my arm I watched as the blood seeped out of the red lines and dripped off my elbow before cleaning up my arm and putting on a dark blue hoodie and black shorts. 🐝

(Will's pov 1:25 am)
I was sitting in my room reading a comic book before El burst through the door and jumped onto my bed.
"Willllllll"
El whined.
"What El?"
I said playfully rolling my eyes.
"I think I might have a teeny tiny crush.. on Mike...Heh"
El said turning the brightest shade of red I've ever seen.
"Hah! Daaaaaad I believe you owe me 25 bucks!!"
I yelled. Knowing mom and dad were still awake watching tv.
"Ugh fineee! I'll do that tomorrow!!"
Hopper yelled back.
