"Jimin." Jungkook shakes the sleeping male awake gently. He watches as Jimin slowly blinks, eyes finally resting on Jungkook sitting up next to him.
"Hmm?" Jimin makes a confused sound.
"The boat is coming soon. We gotta get ready." Jungkook says, standing. He pulls Jimin to his feet and tosses him his clothes. He then starts gathering up their things.
"I hope once we get on the boat we'll finally get some signal on our phones." Jimin starts, walking into the bathroom tiredly. Jungkook pokes his head inside and notices Jimin using one of the disposal toothbrushes in there. Feeling kind of affectionate, Jungkook walks up behind him and wraps his arms around Jimin's waist.
"Yeah, me too." Jungkook agrees, resting his chin on Jimin's shoulder.
"What're you doing?" Jimin blushes.
"Nothing." Jungkook looks over at Jimin before pressing a kiss to his cheek.
"Jungkook." Jimin gently elbows the taller male.
"What?" Jungkook laughs. "Aren't we like... don't we have a thing now?"
"A thing?" Jimin asks.
"Yeah. I mean, after last night..." Jungkook shrugs. He tightens his arms around Jimin.
"I-I guess so." Jimin stutters.
"You guess so?"
"Well I don't know. I guess I wasn't sure how things would be between us after last night." Jimin shrugs.
"We're just fine, don't you think?"
"Sure." Jimin nods.
"Good, now we should probably get going now." Jungkook says, quickly grabbing a toothbrush and furiously brushing his teeth. Him and Jimin rush towards the dock just in time to see the boat pulling into the harbor. They quickly board, and before they know it, they're on their way back to the mainland:
"That was definitely an experience I don't want to have again." Jimin sighs, looking out to the sea.
"Sorry about that. I seriously thought we'd be able to reach that mountain." Jungkook chuckles sheepishly, scratching the back of his neck.
"You're an idiot." Jimin says, but he smiles at Jungkook.
"So... what're you gonna do when we go back? Wanna come over?" Jungkook blushes.
"No."
"Huh? Why not?" Jungkook frowns, pouting.
"Don't you remember? You have to go hang out with Tae." Jimin refreshes his memory. "We don't have time to hang out again. Not that I want to after what you put me through." He rolls his eyes.
"Oh yeah... Tae." Jungkook remembers. He sighs. "I shouldn't break my promise with him, even if he does kind of creep me out."
"Hey, that's one of my best friends you're talking about." Jimin punches his arm lightly.
"You have to admit he's strange. It's a fact."
"Yeah, well... you're not wrong." Jimin finally nods. "He's not that bad though. He's super down to earth once you get to know him. I think after today the whole celebrity thing will wear off anyway."
"Hopefully." Jungkook nods. Soon, they finally reach Busan again. After quickly stopping at home to change, Jungkook makes his way to Tae's house to hang out.
As he approaches the house, he doesn't even need to knock on the door because Tae is literally standing there waiting for him.
"I could sense you." Tae smiles at Jungkook, who forces one back.
"You could sense me? That's kind of weird." Jungkook laughs awkwardly.
"Come in. Lets talk." Tae invites him inside. He quickly steps in and follows Tae up to his room.
"Wait a minute... didn't you have a bunch of posters of me hanging up in here before?" Jungkook asks.
"Wow, I'm surprised you remember despite getting a wet one from the blowjob fairy." Tae laughs without amusement. Jungkook blushes in embarrassment.
"Yeah, about that. I'm sorr--"
"Don't apologize. It's okay. I'm over it." Tae shrugs. "I can totally sense that there either is or will be something between you and Jimin. Honestly, he needs it so I'm backing off. I'm still your fan, but I'm not crazy about you anymore." Tae decides. "This is for the sake of my friend."
"Wow, really?" Jungkook is shocked.
"Yeah. I took all the posters down and tore them up to put in my hamsters cage." Tae glances over at his pet before looking right into Jungkook's eyes. "Promise me something."
"What is it?"
"Don't hurt him. Keep in touch even if it gets hard. One text a day. Just say hi or something. Just one text to show him that you're still thinking about him." Tae begins.
Jungkook nods.
"I don't like all the no strings attached stuff he does with Yoongi. It's weird and gross, and I'd rather you two be together than them two."
"Yeah, me neither. I'm gonna have I have a word with Yoongi when I go back to Seoul." Jungkook reminds himself.
"Oh, by the way, what happened to the two of you? Nobody was able to reach you guys last night."
"We got stranded on an island because of some mountain. I won't go into the details though." Jungkook sighs.
Tae gives him a weird look. "Okay then... anyway, that's pretty much all I wanted to say. I know you're probably itching to get back to Jimin, so I'll let you." He smiles.
"Are you sure? We can hang out a little longer if you'd like." Jungkook offers, but Tae shakes his head.
"It's okay. I have to take my hamster on a walk anyway." He explains. Jungkook doesn't even ask and just nods.
"Okay, I guess I'll get going then." Jungkook stands from his seat on Taehyung's bed.
"Remember what I said, alright? Don't stop talking to him even after you leave, Jeon Jungkook. Got it?" Tae calls after him as he exits his bedroom.
"I got it, Tae. I wouldn't do that anyway." Jungkook promises. He's telling the truth, too. After realizing he kind of has feelings for Jimin, the last thing he wants to do is never speak to him again. It's just a completely illogical idea.
With that thought in mind, Jungkook goes to Jimin's and decides to bother him a little more. All the while, a strange feeling looms in the back of his mind. He knows he'll eventually have to leave Jimin behind to go back to his life in Seoul, and he's not sure how that'll go down. Jungkook can't help but feel worried at the thought of what's to come.
