I was awakened by the gleaming Thursday daylight and as I turned around, the other side of the bed was empty. I immediately sat up, trying to gain the right headspace after sleeping for I don't know how long.

"How can you look damn gorgeous and cute at the same time at this peaking hour of the day?; unfair" She pouted and arms crossed while she sat on her neatly made lilac couch in her knitted top and satin undies, with a bath towel wrapped around her head.

Fcvk, that right there is scenic.

"A vast expanse of wild and pretty things, my love, you are beautiful, what a good morning to wake up to this incandescent view", and she giggled. Waking up with a free space beside me was horrifying, for a second I thought she left without notice. But there she was, smiling and furrowing her almost perfect brows, delicate fingers swiftly flipping through pages of her book.

Oh, those hands. "Is that Price of Salt you're reading?" I asked, somehow agitated with the fact that she was practically holding the book and reading it.

"Uh-huh, the great Patricia Highsmith" twirling the book and half-raising it towards my direction. "Uh, I didn't know you're into reading too. But we can always buy you other books so you can read more aside from that one?" Upon hearing me, she slowly gazed in my direction "Actually, Avery gave this to me after I heard him playing the whole soundtrack for months, and turned out that we both were so into it; Carter Burwell's amazing though" It would be a total relief if Trish doesn't have the slightest idea that it was me who played Carol back in 2015. After all, she doesn't give movies and Hollywood so much attention.

"Who's Avery?" I asked, "Honey, mind telling me who's this Avery? Someone significant?" I don't want to sound so possessive but I just can't help thinking who the hell he is and what he'd done that she got Trish into reading. A hum was all that she managed to answer and it's making me feel more intrigued. "Never mind then, if you don't like answering my question" I uttered in response to her cheeky hum.  I got up off the bed half-expecting that she'd stop me but she continued eyeing me until I got out fully of the room. I can't shrug off the thought of Trisha intimately connected with someone other than me. What if this was all a game? What if none of this was serious at all?

"I just lose my $50 bet to Charlie, didn't take into account that you're the jealous type" Trisha was already leaning back against the countertop when she suddenly grabbed the chocolate milk that I had just prepared "sorry, mine. Besides you don't drink whole milk, you prefer the non-fat, I'll do grocery shopping later" and then she raised her head and drank the half of it.

I shrugged and answered almost sarcastically  "It's okay, bet you didn't expect that too". I heard her chuckles nearing me as I turned my back against her to get another glass from the cupboard. "Love, he's my bandmate from The Gilmores, Avery is a good friend, you have nothing to worry about" she wrapped her delicate arms further into my body and nuzzled completely into my neck. "I love you before, now, and a lifetime" she mumbled with full reassurance — that somehow, despite everything, she loved me still.

I spun and found her eyes twinkling in delight, she's getting prettier every day. "I'd be lost if I lost you, I love you more than this mouth and my way of words can express, my darling" I kissed her deeply as if it's gonna be my last. She kissed back with much passion and love. "Can we stay in here all day? We'll cuddle?" I plead and was almost done untying her knitted top until she stop me from doing so.

"Mmh, sorry I can't. I have so much to do today at work, also you trying to unclothe me is not a cuddle at all" She answered,  "Pretty please?" I responded whilst my hands carefully glided from her waist to her bare thigh and goosebumps started traveling up her skin. "Mmmh, stop it. I'm gonna go now, I'll just change into something presentable, and what about a dinner date tomorrow instead?" she gasped, clearly trying to manage her arousal. I kissed and bit her lower lip gently "Mmkay, I guess I'll see you again tomorrow night".

She cracked a smile as she picked up the book that she was reading earlier then took a step nearer and whispered "Don't worry babe,  we'll talk about how the sex scenes were "essential to the story" according to you with your interview for a certain magazine for Carol" she winked.

What? "But, I thought you don't do anything related to Hollywood???" I shouted, shocked at how on earth she knew those things.

She stopped walking and turned around once more, "I have my exemptions, Cate Blanchett" she answered curling her lips almost maniacally as she made her way almost out of the kitchen. She's seen it, no way.

Fvck me. I'm doomed.
