Byler One Shots

Summer Camp

I saw fan art of Byler on tiktok by @/noodles_and_tea and saw a summer camp one so it's based off of that!

Lights out was called half an hour ago, the moonlight shone through the glass window of the cabin as the campers were asleep. Except for two boys in particular.

"Hey Will?" Mike whispered from the bottom bunk bed.

"Yeah?" Will whispered letting his head peak over to look down at Mike on the bed, the moonlight hitting Mike's face perfectly as Will could see every little detail on the freckled boys face.

"I can't sleep and it looks like you can't either, wanna go on a walk?" He smiled getting up off his bed.

"The cabin doors locked and Steve wouldn't be happy with us sneaking out." Will said looking at Mike.

"Blah blah blah camp counsellor who cares? Steve doesn't scare me and we'll be fine." Mike smiled putting his shoes on then looking up at Will on the top bunk.

"..fine." Will sighed climbing off the top and putting his shoes on quickly as Mike walked over to the window and pushed it open the full way and climbed out.

"Hurry up Will!" Mike whispered holding his hand out for Will to take.

Will took ahold of Mike's hand and climbed out quickly, letting Mike guide him towards the pathway.

Everything with Mike felt comfortable to Will, their spontaneous night trips to the lake or even holding hands together.

"So are we going to the lake tonight?" Will asked looking up at the taller boy who seemed pretty determined to get to their destination.

"Not tonight, unless you want to?" Mike asked looking down at him.

"No! No it's okay." Will blushed looking away.

"Cool, I think your gonna like this one." Mike smiled as they walked into the forest.

Will gripped Mike's hand tightly and with his other he held onto Mike's arm and hid behind him, their body's touching together.

"Scared I'll sacrifice you Byers?" Mike laughed as he kept walking.

"I've only known you for three weeks, if you were asked to exchange me to save your life you probably would." Will frowned looking up at Mike.

"Never, I just got you how could I ever let you go?" Mike smirked, pulling Will in front of him then lifting him over his shoulder.

"Mike!" Will laughed gripping onto the back of Mike's shirt for support, "Let me down!"

"No way!" Mike smiled running to the place where he wanted to take Will then setting him down.

Will hit Mike's arm "You're a dick!"

"No babe, I'm Mike." He laughed.

Will hit his arm again, "You just brought us to the middle of nowhere."

Mike tapped Will's shoulder and pointed behind him, Will turned around and his face immediately softened.

"You made this?" Will whispered looking at Mike.

"I remember when you told me about Castle Byers back in your home town, you talked so highly of it and you looked like you really missed it." Mike smiled, "So I made a different version called Castle Byler."

"What's Byler?" Will laughed walking over and holding Mike's hands in his.

"Us." Mike smiled looking down at the shorter boy, "Byers and Wheeler."

"Did Max and Jane come up with that one?" Will smiled blushing slightly.

"Mmmaybe?" Mike smirked pulling Will closer.

"I love it Mike, thank you." Will whispered as he stood on his tippy toes and closed the gap between his soft pink lips and Mike's slightly chapped ones, wrapping his arms around Mike's neck for balance as Mike held onto Will's waist.

Suddenly a light flashed onto the two boys making them jump apart and stand there awkwardly.

"I thought I told you two lights out an hour ago?" Steve sighed as another camp counsellor walked up behind him.

"I could ask you the same thing, Harrington." Mike sighed as he pulled Will into his arms.

"He's got you there.." Eddie smiled patting Steve's back.

"Yeah whatever, back to the cabin love birds before I split you two up." Steve sighed.

"Whatever you say dad." Mike said rolling his eyes as Will laughed at his summer camp boyfriend's joke.
