When Eddie opens the door to his trailer, the last person he expects to see in the entire world is Nancy Wheeler.

And when the door to Eddie's trailer is opened, Nancy realizes that the smell of weed is stronger inside than it is outside, maybe because Eddie is holding a joint between his fingers when he opens the door and raises a confused eyebrow towards her.

"Hi, Munson." She says shyly, still not believing that she's actually doing this.

"Nancy Wheeler" Eddie says her full name as if it's a title, and leans against the doorway, crossing his arms with the lit joint still in his fingers and showing Nancy a half smile. ", what can I help you with, my lady?"

And the thing is, Nancy and Eddie have barely interacted in the last few years. The closest thing they've ever had has been a few tutoring sessions where Eddie didn't pay any attention at all and Nancy gave up on him after five lessons. And now there she was, about to ask him something that sounded so crazy and desperate that she was regretting driving to the trailer park and just wished she could turn back, go back to her car, drive away and ask Eddie to pretend this never happened next time they saw each other in the school hallways.

But it's too late for that now, because she's stepping inside Eddie's trailer and when he asks her if she wants some and passes the joint to her, she accepts and takes a small drag because she thinks that'll give her some courage to ask what she's here to ask.

Which is the worst plan in the history of the universe and Nancy wonders how she thought about it in the first place. Meanwhile, Eddie just looks at her eagerly waiting for her to say something, because why the fuck would she have a reason to be there? Well, maybe she would go to the trailer park in specific to pick up her little brother from the Mayfield's trailer or something, Eddie has seen Mike Wheeler and all of his friends go visit them every once in a while, but she wasn't at the Mayfield's, she was at the Munson's, who are far from being Hawkins's golden family.

«No offense, uncle.» He thinks, even though he knows that there is no way his uncle just heard him think that.

"I'm all ears." Eddie says after a few seconds of silence, inviting Nancy to talk and explain what was she doing in his trailer.

Nancy took a deep breath. «Here goes nothing.»

"Are you dating anyone currently?"

Nancy wonders if the weed (even if she took just a little bit) is making her see things when she notices the small blush appear in Eddie's cheeks. He clears his throat and puts his hands in the back pockets of his jeans.

"Can't I have the pleasure to. Not currently."

And Nancy regrets asking him and putting him in that awkward situation. No one likes to admit that.

Though she admits that part of her can't believe how that's possible, because Munson isn't bad looking, he's quite handsome in fact. Maybe if he brushed his hair more and wore some products to make it look less frizzy, and maybe if the town was more open minded and wasn't obsessed with pretty church boys like Jason and Eddie didn't have his reputation as a "Freak", she was sure he would be one of the most popular, most wanted boys in Hawkins High, jus like Steve had been in his golden days as the king of the school. And she can't complain about the tattoos...

Nancy looked at the floor of the trailer, embarrassed, and then looked back at Eddie with her face red.

"Then... how would you feel about being my fake boyfriend?"

As soon as she says those words out loud, she regrets every decision she has ever made in her entire life, specially going to Eddie's trailer. And as soon as Eddie's brain processes those words, his eyes open wide and he just stares at Nancy, the blush now taking over his whole face. Nancy swallows hard. Eddie blinks a few times and says:
