Summary
After being forced an orphan at a young age, you were taken in by the church. It had always been your home but you had never been a student at Garreg Mach, instead you had worked as a servant to Reah and her advisors. Combat had never been your strong suit but you had owed the church so much you decided to work for them. Unfortunately you had never learned a few simple skills in life because of your past, one of them being the ability to read. You've seen a young man around the pond reading and decided to ask for assistance, starting your relationship.
Story
The sun would shine brightly down onto Garreg Mach, causing the birds to sing. A gentle breeze would grace the air with it's presence on occasion, causing the waters of the pond to ripple then calm. Everything was perfect, the atmosphere was peaceful and angelic like normal. There were no events coming up, no big issues to be resolved, it was business as normal for everyone except one girl.
With a loud grunt a young woman had lifted a net out of the pond, pulling out a handful of fish that had fallen into the trap. They'd thrash about, panicking as they were yanked out of their once peaceful underwater life. The woman would try her best to contend with the thrashing fish but they had proved trouble, making it hard for her to collect them. Most of the students paid her no mind, she had just been a servant girl going about her duties to them. It was those duties that she always did exceptionally perfect, not wanting to disappoint Reah or appear incompetent even with her lack of education. With her determination she would try harder to pull the net up onto the dock, only for the rope to start slipping out of her grasp.
She had been so focused in collecting the fish that she hadn't noticed one of the students approach her, eager to aid her in her struggle.
The young woman would jump when a man about her age had reached over her shoulder to grab the rope before it slipped. "Woah now, here let me." He had said, his voice a bit soft yet laced with a calming undertone. With their strength together they would pull the net out of the water, the fish flailing as they hit the dock within the confines of the net. With the hard part done she would catch her breath then turn to thank her assistant, only for her eyes to widen when she saw his uniform.
"Thank-... Oh dear, my Lord you didn't have to do that!" She'd profusely apologize, clasping her hands together as she gave a short bow.
Upon closer inspection she had recognized him, she had seen him out by the pond on multiple occasions with his nose buried in a book. He was pale with light green eyes, the bridge of his nose and his cheeks were adorned by light freckles. Atop his head was a curly mess of silver hair, a rare tone she hadn't seen often but it had suited him very well, she couldn't imagine him with any other color.
"Ah-... I'm not a lord-" He'd start to explain, scratching the back of his head awkwardly.
The woman would shake her head then lean down, beginning to collect the fish. "Nevertheless you are still a student, you shouldn't concern yourself with my menial tasks." She said, moving the fish into a sack to take straight to the kitchen.
"It's okay, really!" He insisted. "You looked like you needed help and I like helping." He'd explain.
"You are... Very kind my lord." She'd respond.
When she stood there was a bit of sweat over her brow. It was now that the young man could see there was a bit of dirt smeared across her right cheek. He'd reach up, causing her to flinch slightly as he caught her off guard to wipe the dirt away with the end of his sleeve. "M-My lord!" She'd exclaim, jumping back slightly.
"Haha, sorry I should of warned you." He'd smile, causing her to advert her gaze quickly as she blushed. She had felt a bit of a fool, running around with dirt on her face for goddess knows how long. Suddenly there was a hand extended outwards in front of her, making her look back up again. "My name is Ashe." He said, he had sounded a little hesitant or perhaps it was because he had always just held this aura of shyness.
