i laid on my side, facing jonathan as he was on his back, gazing down at me. we had had finished our meal, a burger and fries, about an hour ago. he initially brought it for me, but i couldn't not share. he told me not to worry about it and enjoy it myself, but i didn't listen. my leg was resting on his and my arm around his torso, resting my head on his chest. his arm stayed on my back, making slow small circles.

it was only 7pm, and i had more energy than usual.

"jonathan?" i said looking up. his brown hair laid out rather messy, some of it covering his eyes.

"hm?" he hummed, locking our eyes. he tightened his grip giving me a squeeze, pulling me closer and almost onto him. i smiled when i heard him sigh, us sinking more into the bed.

"are you sleepy?" i poked his cheek, my other arm rested on the side of him.

"are you sleepy?" i rolled my eyes and looked at his face. he didn't seem tired at all . i tilted my head to the side, giving him a 'serious' look.

he leaned up putting his hands on my cheeks, and kissing my forehead. "Iim only sleepy if you're sleepy." he smiled. a grin formed on my lips as i shook my head.

"i am tired." i said matter-of-factly. obviously a lie.

"okay, let's sleep then." jonathan wrapped one arm around my waist and i lowered my head onto his chest. his free hand twirled the ends of my hair, as i listened to his heartbeat with my eyes closed. it was actually really fast, which he didn't show on the outside. he was calm and talked softly, but his heart sounded like he just got done running a mile.

"are you okay?" i mumbled, literally into his chest.

"i'm fine, y/n." he chuckled. worlds worst liar.

"really? then why does your heart sound like someone pounding on a door?" i asked and got no response. instead it was just silence and crickets chirping outside.

"you make me... nervous." he hesitated, and laid still.

"nervous?" i questioned, sitting up on his lap, legs on both of his sides. "how do i make you nervous?"

he jerked up quickly, eyes widening like he was hurt. he pursed his lips looking at me, opening his mouth to say something, but nothing came out. we set there in silence, me on his lap, and him looking at me weirdly. his cheeks were light pink and he didn't dare make eye contact with me.

"jonathan." i said, lifting his chin, "what's wrong? did i do something?"

i started to feel very insecure. maybe he realized he doesn't like me. or maybe i'm not a good cuddler...

no... bullshit. i'm a great cuddler.

"you didn't do anything." he said, laying back down onto the pillow. "i don't know, actually." he looked into my eyes.

"are you sure? if you want to go home—"

he pulled me down, his fingers tightening around the front strings of my hoodie, to connect our lips. i knew this wasn't quick and playful, because the surge of warmth and excitement that went through my body was immediate. i put my hands on jonathan's shoulders, while his rested on my waist. i could still hear his heart beating faster than ever as we continued.

"you could've just told to me shut up." i chuckled, breaking away.

"i just wanted a kiss." he shrugged, a sly grin on his face. i hovered over him, looking down. his nervousness showed this time, which made me laugh.

"i can give you a kiss. just ask." i leaned down, planting a kiss on his lips before trailing them down his jaw. his breath hitched as i moved closer to his neck, grazing my tongue over the soft skin. i feverishly planted more kisses, before lightly sucking, but just enough to leave a prominent hickey. i felt jonathan lightly squeeze my hips and quickly stop, not wanting me to notice, but it's too late for that, and he let out a shaky breath.
