Hey everybody! I know it's been quite some time (probably about 3 years, to be exact) since I've updated this. Life has gotten so incredibly busy that I just haven't had any time whatsoever to write. I haven't even been writing my own personal stories/books. I started college and I also have a boyfriend, and haven't been on Wattpad in so long.
All that being said, I have decided that, to keep myself engaged with writing, I will be returning to The Poets of Tomorrow. I am going to be reworking some of the story (not a lot so far, just some small bits here and there) to make it more of what I actually want it to be. Here's what I have decided to rework:
- the "Jump then Fall" bit
- the infirmary bit
- Neil and Todd's coming out to each other
- having the love interest be Pitts (bear with me on this one, okay. When I first wrote this I wanted to give the fandom something that there wasn't a lot of fics about, but at the end of the day I think for me to be able to stick with this story, I want to make it an OC x Charlie fic. This won't change a ton about the story because I think I'm going to make Pitts an overprotective best friend (who harbors some feelings for OC)
- overall, the pacing also feels off a bit
These are just the most basic aspects of the story that I'm going to be reworking, so keep an eye out for these edits! I am probably going to be making the story private and republishing the chapters as I go! I will put something in the A/N of each chapter to let y'all know it has been edited.
I also wanted to address the A/N in the first chapter of the book. While there will be some characters who exhibit homophobia, I will not be using any slurs, as I (a bisexual woman) don't feel comfortable using them in my work.Thank you all for the support!
